Real name: Murai Mikio.
After working as an assistant to Yanagisawa Kimio, he made his debut in 1972 with Love Love Kappa Great Maneuvers in Bessatsu Shonen Jump, being awarded two years later with the Tezuka Award.
In 1981 his most famous series, Munasawagi no Houkago, was made into a film and TV series in 1982 and 1983 respectively. His other series were also brought into the screen such as Binetsu My Love, Kekkon Game, Fashion Health Monogatari, Circle Game, Women, Xenos and S to M. He also once worked as an animation designer for the series Youth Animation Complete Works in 1986.
After three years fighting his illness, he passed away on April 16th 2022.
