As a child he spent his times drawing pictures at home due to his weak body. He grew up watching Uchuu Senkan Yamato, Tiger Mask, Tsuburaya’s Ultraman on TV and reading FUJIKO Fujio’s works.
He enjoys playing shogi, mahjong, card games, and tabletop role playing games.

Was an assistant of OSHIMA Yasuichi.

KAGEYAMA Naoyuki, SATOU Masashi, TOMONAGA Akihiro and ITOU Akira were his assistants on Yu-Gi-Oh.

Once under the same editor as KITA Yasuaki, and according to Kita there was a time when either Yu-Gi-Oh or Makuhari would get axed due to the low popularity.

Inspired and friends with ARAKI Hirohiko, he personally like Jojo since Part 3.

He died at the age of 60 on July 6th 2022 while diving in Okinawa. It was later reported in the American military newspaper Stars and Stripes on October 11, that Takahashi had died in the afternoon of July 4 while assisting in the rescue of three others who were caught in a rip current.
