Seong Sangyeong (Korean: 성상영; Revised Romanization: Seong Sangyeong; born March 11, 1985) is a South Korean male writer who creates novels in the genres of fantasy and martial arts, as well as scripts for comics and video games. Starting around 2003, Korean readers have referred to him as "the manager of the factory for mass production of fantasy novels" (Korean: 양판소 공장장) because he can write three volumes of a novel a month. He is best known as the screenwriter for the manhwa "The Gamer" (2013) and the founder of the publishing house "Golem Factory" (2015).
Seong Sangyeong often uses the pseudonym Golem because he is very hardworking and he associates golems with hard work. And he named his publishing house "Golem Factory" after his pseudonym.
Seong Sangyeong began publishing his first novel, "Grand Wizard", as a print edition in 2003, when he was in high school (when he was about 17-19 years old), and he began publishing his first manhwa, "The Gamer", on the Internet in 2013.
On November 29, 2014, he married female writer Taeseon who is the scriptwriter for the manhwas "Dusk Howler" and "Doctor's Rebirth". Taeseon wrote a collection of humorous notes about their daily life, "내 남편이 이렇게 막장일리 없어" (Korean: "My husband can't be that ridiculous"; 2014).
