I've changed the way new releases are displayed. Hopefully people will find it a bit easier to see whats new and what not. Give me some feedback in our new poll!
Update I should probably also mention that you can see older releases by clicking on the "View Archive" button on the releases page.

Looks like the vote is pretty split on that one for the moment, so we'll just leave the idea on ice for now. The poll ran for 22 days.
Yeeeeah....we're back!! We have finally completed the transition over to the new host. Sorry for any inconvinience caused during the transition time, but we were not granted with any better alternatives by our previous host. We hope this move will be permanent and that everyone will experience faster site access time.
We would also like to once again take this chance to thank everyone that has donated to Baka-Updates because without your donations, none of this would be possible when we were left stranded by our last host. Without your support, Baka-Updates would not be what it is now.

We are still falling victim to scattered DDOS attacks. If they continue, you can still get new releases in our manga channel on irc.irchighway.net, #baka-updates using the !manga command. This command is updated regardless of site outages.
Shinsen-Subs, an anime fansubs group, has officially started a Manga scanlating section, Shinsen-Manga.
It appears they are closing down...
"After two years together, we've decided to call it quits. I, the leader of JJ, was fed up with scanslation and decided to leave the group. No one else was interested in wearing my shoes. So we're done."

The site has been experiencing instability due to ddos attacks. We are working closely with our host to resolve this problem and should be running smoothly soon.
