New Poll - Manga Fan

This week's poll was suggested by deadphoenix. Estimate how big of a manga fan you are based on the number of series you've read or are currently reading. Up to you if you wanna include oneshots or doujinshi with that number.

New Poll - AMVs

We haven't had an AMV poll in about 4 years, so as kuroihikari wants, why not? 4 years ago, I used to watch a lot more AMVs, but I don't think I've watched one in several years (partly because I don't watch anime anymore).

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Question: When you see or talk to someone on the internet, which gender do you assume him/her to be until you get further clues or confirmations?
Choices:
I'm male and I default male - votes: 3760 (31.4%)
I'm male and I default female - votes: 157 (1.3%)
I'm male and I don't default to any gender - votes: 2365 (19.7%)
I'm female and I default male - votes: 1252 (10.4%)
I'm female and I default female - votes: 1187 (9.9%)
I'm female and I don't default to any gender - votes: 3262 (27.2%)
There were 11983 total votes.
The poll ended: August 9th 2014

I didn't realize a gender question would be so polarized...sigh... So apparently more males voted in this poll, but at least 1 previous poll had more females. Most be that missing "other". Although it does appear that males tend to assume males, but females are more likely to not assume anything.

New Poll - Assuming Genders

This week's poll isn't manga related, but it's an interested one suggested by crimsonsnow00017. When you "see" someone on the internet, which may be say reading a post on a forum or messaging them online, etc, what gender do you usually assume the other person to be by default, without having any other clues or confirmations? Personally, I just assume everyone is a guy unless I know otherwise.

Edit: It's too late, so I am not editing this poll to add more choices

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Your favorite series has been going for a while now. You...
Choices:
Want it to continue forever - votes: 2963 (29.3%)
Want it to end before it turns worse - votes: 6112 (60.5%)
Want the author to stop to start a completely new series - votes: 359 (3.6%)
Want a spin-off story of it - votes: 665 (6.6%)
There were 10099 total votes.
The poll ended: August 2nd 2014

So the recommendation here is to not get greedy and just end something on a good note.

New Poll - Background Art

This week's poll was suggested by Calamansi. For the background art in the series you read, how much detail do you like in them? I remember that the backgrounds in Mahou Sensei Negima! were quite detailed. Then there's shoujo where a lot of panels will just have sparkles and stuff to indicate the mood of the character.

Now how many people say they'll read it later and actually never do? I'm the kind of person that rarely goes back to read something again. Same with rarely re-watching movies or TV shows.

New Poll - Storing Physical Manga

This week's poll comes from the mind of our member psycho-shocker. If you do own some physical copies of manga, what do you tend to do with them after reading them?

Edit: I just realized that I forgot an option for "I collect and never read them in the first place". Oh well, probably a rare case.
