This week's poll was suggested by our member AngelCharms. If you had the money to become a collector of some kind of manga/anime-related merchandise, what would you collect? You only get to pick one top choice!

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Do you archive fansubs (for anime)?
Choices:
Yes, everything - votes: 1561 (18.2%)
Only a few - votes: 2801 (32.6%)
I watch and delete - votes: 799 (9.3%)
I only watch online - votes: 2338 (27.2%)
I don't watch fansubs - votes: 1101 (12.8%)
There were 8600 total votes.
The poll ended: December 6th 2014

So I goofed and had actually done this one back in February. Results are fairly similar as back then, although more people are only streaming nowadays...

Why are physical works separated into one option for manga and one for anime?
Also, does that really count as collecting? Isn't it just buying the stuff you watch/read, isn't it? Someone with a bunch of books in their bookshelf isn't called a collector. Someone with a bunch of movies in their bookshelf (or whatever) isn't called a collector either.
This is also true of doujinshi ...and related shows and movies.

...and why on earth are scanlations and fansubs included, at all?

This poll needs an option to chose more than one. I collect both Physical manga volumes and Manga scanlations( for the simple that not all good ones are published).

Generic everyday goods with anime/manga characters/symbols - a few cups, a few plates, some notebooks; maybe model my room after one of my favorite shows...

Physical volumes/DVDs/music CDs take too much precious space.

Figures could be interesting if they were miniature radio controlled robots and thus could do more than just be a toy (i.e. something from Robotics; Notes).
Plushies might be a decent gift for little children.

I find posters/wall scrolls with anime characters to be a bad taste, but won't mind fantastic anime landscapes.
I'd prefer goods that are not immediately obvious to the non-fandom public - i.e something like Ryuuko's jacket from Kill La Kill.

I went with "Other" because I've collected a bit of nearly everything on that list. 😔

I selected Physical Manga Volumes...but, it would be great if we were able to vote for more than one...because, on this list There were a lot other things, I would like to collect and I've collected...like Action Figures, Hats, Costumes, Art Books, Posters etc...

I used to collect stickers, when I was a little kid ^^

I sometimes import posters so i voted that. I also wear my Behelit every workday.
Regular physical manga and dvds should´t be on the list if you ask me. That is no collecting. If so then only in limited/colletor´s edition form.
Like all the garbage varient covers of american comis.

Put me down for [All of the above]. Come on, if I had the spare money, I'd buy everything that my heart desired in this particular genre. Since this is not the case, though, I just buy physical manga volumes whenever I find them at discount.

I think I'd have to go for figurines.

It's addictive

Yeah, would be nice if we could vote for several options. Went with figures now, since I consider these more as collectibles than manga volumes or anime DVDs.

Physical volumes I suppose. I don't really care about all the other goods.

I wish you could make it a multiple selection poll, not just choose one. I collect figures, physical manga, and art books (have every annual Pixiv and quarterly Pixiv volume released, as well as a few art books from my favorite artists like Range Murata, Redjuice, & Ugetsu Hakua). Then I also have about 200GB of manga scanlations, and about 6.5TB of anime.

Body pillows you say. How quaint. Haven´t you heard of this way more intimate way(even for ladies) to get to know your heroes. Japan please never change 😁 . Also no cosplay talk ?
