Plot/Story
The story starts with Kayano, a shy girl, wanting to give a letter of confession to the guy she likes. Unfortunately, she ends up giving the letter to the troublemaker of the school, Takeru. She begs him to give the letter back to her, and he agrees, as long as she agrees to be his servant. To add to her troubles, Kayano finds out that her mother is going to be marrying the principal of her school, whose son is Takeru.
Characters
The most major character development is in Kayano and Takeru, particularly Kayano beginning to understand Takeru's thoughts and feelings. Kayano is shy, but being with Takeru helps her overcome this. Relationships between the characters get messy, particularly towards the end of the manga. Kayano's mother is introduced early on, and her crush, Kamijou is also included in the story, as are her two best friends. Takeru's group of friends are wacky but ehy understand him the most.
Drawing Style
I didn't like the drawing style to begin with, but the mangaka gradually changes her style as the series develops. The clothes for the charcters are really cool. Although I didn't like the style to start off with, the mangaka's drawing style is one of my favourites now.
Enjoyment
The series was great, and the ending was good too, although it was pretty predictable. The basic plot isn't new (Marmalade Boy), but it's still enjoyable.
Overall
Akuma de Sourou is a must read for all shoujo lovers. I like Takeru's character and the way the mangaka develops his character and also his relationship with Kayano. Get it just to see the cool clothes and Takeru.
takahashi mitsuba = biggest mangaka drawer ever

This looks like a realllly good manga, but I can't find it anywhere! >_> depression
This is my favorite romance manga...even beats Marmalade Boy. The style threw me off at first glance, but after the first two volumes, I enjoyed the unique style & fashion immensely. This is the only series that I actually bought all the volumes of. Very refreshing and fun! 🙂
