Picked back up after many years

I tried reading this before a long time ago and didn’t really like it before. I think I’ve learned to appreciate the art and also appreciate the depth of characters here. I think that as an older person (in college) I can see them as kids who are figuring out life and love who make mistakes but learn from them. I do the fm is strong and she owns up to her mistakes which I appreciate. She’s not a perfect Mary Sue and it adds depth to the story.

It's pretty stereotypical. Just because the heroine isn't as weak as they can be in shojo doesn't make her strong. Read the first 15 or so chapters, got tired of the melodrama, and skipped ahead to read the last five chapters. There's no comedy to leaven it, unless you count laughing in exasperation at everyone's inability to engage in basic direct communication. Didn't mind the art actually. Guess the artist didn't want to draw the same school uniform over and over, so all the characters wear wacky late 90s fashion. A little tempted to page through the middle just for the clothes.

Actually a solid 8

This is actually good - as a shoujo there is of course more drama than it really is necessary, but for each drama there is a quick and satisfying conclusion, so the story moves foward in a good way.

The characters are great - the main girl cries, yes, but she is actually resolute, and the main guy, well, he is amazing for real. Very mature, very different from most shoujo heros.

My opinion about its art seems to be contrary to most because I actually loved it - and I think the first half has better art than the second. I really dont like the popular 90 shoujo style, so this one was refreshing and more aesthethically pleasing for me. The mangaka draws amazing clothes and hair, and her main guy is actually attractive because she knows how to draw bodies (no square and angular bodies here folks).

It Has It's Pros and Cons but It's Good

I read this while I was in primary school and somehow I made it till the very last chapter and I loved every little thing about it. Like, maybe you can't stand drama (I get it. I'm not even the sort who stands angst or whiny, weak protagonists) but if you've made it past chapter 1 and you like it, give it a long, good try. It's good and I'm sure to have a re-read pretty soon.

Typical shoujo manga about a couple that happen to be step-siblings

story
err, so two teenagers, the girl older a year or so, become brother in sister. They hide their relationship, because of it, but in the end (after they sleep together), the parents don?t really care. It had too much drama. One problem after another. And they took all of it so seriously. meh. Melodrama.

art
I actually liked the art. People don?t like it, but I think it was good, because it was original. The clothes of people were interesting, and I even liked the faces. It looked kinda strange, but still not bad.

characters
As usually, the main pair were melodramatic idiots. They were always like "oh, we can't be together, for we are siblings", "oh, we can't be together cause you have a fiancé already". I liked more their friends, but, sadly, there weren?t any chapters dedicated to them. Just appearances in the main story. What is so wrong, because the manga had 11 volumes. Is it so hard to make some extra chapter or two about someone other than the main character? Apparently yes.

Enjoyment
Well, it wasn?t really bad. But after a while I got annoyed with the problems. they were also cliché. they weren?t happy together. I don?t even think they got time for a date or something without drama.

At first this series started out as interesting, you know, when takeru was bullying her and stuff. Then in the middle it got a little boring. However the twists and turns made it very interesting and forced me to finish the entire thing in a day. The ending was nice. I am happy, everyone's happy. Typical, but satisfactory. Everyone loves happy endings, afterall. I would recommend this to people who like a simple story, but just get past the first few volumes. Read on!!

It was just exhausting to me.
Art: Definitely not my thing. As they say Art is in the eye of beholder, well my beholding eye didn't like the art at all.
Characters: Annoying. Obtuse. Stupid. The only character I liked was Haru. There is the strong silent type and then there is the egoistical, egomaniacle, violent a-hole type. It doesn't mean that you belong to the first group if you just don't talk and be the main character. And if you keep getting violent, doing only stuff what you think is right without talking to anybody it rather means you belong to the 2nd one. See Takeru.
I get the softhearted dudette do right type of shoujo heroin. But maaaaaaaaaaaaaan! If you keep crying every effing single time it gets just very annoying. I am fairly certain that after the middle, btw after she said for the umpteenth time, i am going to get stronger, she started crying and then for almost an entire volume she didn't stop. Enough already!!!
Plot: The summary of the plot reads well on the paper. But it was really exhausting to get through in the manga. At one point I just wanted scream enouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggghhhh! That's when I stopped reading.
But like I said at the beginning, Art is in the eye of the beholder and tastes differ. I do usually like strong silent types, the bad boys that are actually good boys. And the heroins that bring them out of the closet but this couple was just not it. He was too egoistic and she neeeeeeeeeeevvvvvvvvvvvverrr stopped crying for Pete's sake!

Okay....
Spoiler (mouse over to view)

Takanashi, I love youuu!... A Takeru también u.u'
