My bride-to-be is a nonhuman princess--a tanuki?
Official English: Azuki, Pocket Comics
9 Volumes (Complete)

The characters are entertaining and grow through-out the series along with the plot never idling too long. It also has a nice ending.
Don't worry, everything is explained later!! The Main Character is just (over)reacting to things forced his way..
So, even if you find the MC annoying, please keep reading.
Nice art for a cool and refreshing story!
I don't think it had the usual cliches ~ such a nice change!!
It's kind of a slow progress story. I believe it could have been a little shorter..
I was frustrated until they decided to tell us more about the childhood of the MC..
Nevertheless, it's fun. And more fun as the story goes on!!
There's a lot of problems with this manga. It's about a high school boy who is placed in an arranged marriage against his will with a Tanuki, a type of shape-shifting supernatural creature, because of traditions relating to his family's shrine.
By far the biggest problem is that there's no charisma between the main couple. I didn't like them at all. The high school boy doesn't want the arranged marriage and is mean to the Tanuki constantly to attempt to sabotage the marriage, and the Tanuki seems to like him for no logically explained reason since he pushes her away at every opportunity. She's basically just a cute girl who likes him because the plot demands it, and she is severely lacking in personality.
I also didn't like how all of the supernatural elements seemed to be lame things that had no relation to real Tanuki myths and legends. For example, the main character has some stupid Tanuki-themed bracelet permanently attached to his arm. I guarantee you won't find anything like that in real Japanese folklore! I think there could have been a lot of cooler and more interesting supernatural elements if the mangaka would have taken inspiration from the many fascinating real-life legends about the Tanuki. Instead the supernatural elements are mostly just random things the author made up (that are usually pretty dumb, such as the aforementioned bracelet.)
