Gets Really Good around Vol 4

When I first picked up this series, I thought it was a mediocre shounen entry. The jokes seemed to fall flat and the pacing was way off. However, as the series progressed, the author really got into his groove and it became amazing. The main characters are fantastic, especially Benio, who is such a unique character! The relationship between them is so sweet and so heartfelt...
One thing to watch out for is that this series shares many similar aspects with other popular shounen series... but then, what shounen series doesn't? Sometimes its character design *cough Shimon *cough
I took off one star for the slow start, and another star because I hate Mayura, she does NOT need to be in the story at the slightest. She's awful

The author said so himself... Streamline battle manga.
aka: Generic as fuck.
It might be a borderline acceptable entry point to this kind of story to a new manga reader, otherwise avoid.

I don't know how different is the anime BUT i will read the manga because theres something i like in it... i get this nostalgic feeling like im watching Shaman King, dont know why cuz all the characters are different from SK but somehow... if only animation didnt suck at times i'd enjoy it as much as if i was watching SK.

Gave up after the first chapter, it looked too cliché, too cute for it to be serious, the girl is already annoying , and even thought the main charactere is cute it's the same kind you see in every manga.
Nope thank you not for me.

[NOV.2,2015] HELL YES. ALL THE YESSSSSS
I was hesitant to start this because it looked like one of those shounen manga with the typical idiotic-but-unnaturally-strong male lead. And usually, if there is romance involved in said typical shounen manga, there's a female lead with huge boobs who is always busting ML's balls.
But I was curious enough to search it on mangaupdates, and then I saw the tags.
Strong Female Lead, check. Strong Male Lead, check. Forced Marriage, whoa, cool, I'm so there. Rave reviews promising it was way better than expected, check.
So I started reading, keeping my expectations low still, because it didn't look anything special. The art is good, and the concept wasn't entirely over-used.
And then we meet the female lead, and everything went continuously uphill from there.
The fight scenes are exciting, and I can't get enough of the art.
The humour is surprisingly spot-on, more often than not. The characters themselves are what sold me, specifically the main leads. Rokuro (ML) seems like a brat at first impression, but his true character comes out, and is entirely heart-warming. Benio (FL, I sighed in relief when I found out she was a she, instead of another Male Lead) is impressively strong in her own right, and not once does she come off as b*tchy.
Before I started reading this, I was already expecting the female lead to completely let me down despite the Strong Female Lead tag, but, wow, was I glad I was wrong.
Although the pacing might be a bit off when certain events happen, Rokuro and Benio make me invested in their characters every step of the way. Neither is perfect, and they're both just kids really, facing insurmountable odds. They feel pain, sadness, and crippling fear, and they know their weaknesses.
I was afraid that their relationship development would be set aside in favour of the whole killing-monsters gig, but their relationship development is actually what nits all of this together.
Pacing, plot-wise, might be a bit clunky at the start, but the pacing of their relationship actually...developing is perfect and dare I say a hundred times better than countless shoujo romance mangas I've read.
I was surprised to see no discussion for this manga, and ended up writing up this monster, mostly because I hope this would help tip the balance for those on the fence on whether or not to read.
TL;DR----------- JUST READ THE MANGA DAMMIT. IT'S GOOD. SERIOUSLY.
EDIT (Feb.2,2019): ACTUALLY, I take it all back. While I still maintain fondness for the Female Lead, I've fallen out of love with this manga. Mostly because:
1. Repetitive and tiresome storyline
2. Annoying/Frustrating Side characters.
That second point is what made me drop this manga sometime 2017. I get that the author wanted to flesh out some people, but when that means sacrificing time we could spend with the lead pair for 'tragic' backstories of others, I ended up skimming a ton of chapters.

Damn when i first started this i didnt expect much at all but holy crap it turned out to be really good. First i have to talk about the art. The Art is amazing especially transformation and fight scenes. All the transformations, weapons and enemies look really cool. The only issue i have (which was minor) in terms of the art is that some of the faces do look kinda weird. In terms of the way most of them look like they have a really young face. I mean most characters even some adults look sort of Petite cause of their face and sometimes their body but this isnt that big of an issue its just weird sometimes.
Next the story, it started really vague and random but overtime the story is getting way better and im really looking forward to it. There a lot of mysteries to uncover ,especially powerwise so i cant wait for that.
Lastly the characters, The lead is pretty much a "Ichigo" like lead (from Bleach early on) where hes some times a hot head but still cares for others, and the female lead is a kuudere with some tsundere tendencies and yea they are pretty interesting and i dont really have anything negative to say about them. They both have been getting really good character development.
So yea all in all i hope this gets a fair chance to finish ALL of its story (cause i know they tend no Ax new manga a lot). And i hope this lives up to my expectations and gets more popular. This is one of the Top 5 manga that im hoping will start to take over now, especially after the rest of the "Big 3" is finished. Heres hoping.

This is incredibly good, I cant remember the last time I was so excited and enthraled by a manga, a shame the only raws available are chinese and that scanlation has seemingly stopped, this one is REALLY good, and is shaping up to be even better than the mangaka's last work (which was also excellent in my opinion).

Amazing.

This is really strong in all aspects - it's genre-savvy (there's an averted girl-falling-from-the-sky trope in the first chapter), so it's not just a cookie-cutter shounen battle manga; the drawings are amazing; the relationship between the two in the couple is really fun and develops quite fast (it's definitely no Ranma 1/2 in that regard); and so on.
But the strongest recommendations I can give are a) that it's by the mangaka of the phenomenal Binbougami ga!, and b) that it's taking up the mantle of the axed Double Arts, in that it features a couple fighting their battles together.
