Really touching, I love the artwork, and the characters are sweet. I didn't really understand the main conflict, but it might have been because of the translation.

But the epilogue...

I could have done without. Why would you do that to me? So unnecessary and now I'm crying. Whose fault is that?? Damn.

I can't at people docking points from this manga just because it isn't full of sugar and rainbows and unicorns lmaoo. That's not how real life works, which is obviously the theme that the mangaka wanted to go for with this sequel: real life is messy and dreary and full of obstacles; the "and they lived happily ever after" moment is only just a starting point, and it's how you overcome everything along the way to reach your destination that actually matters in the end. The story itself wasn't bad at all, and the execution was adequate enough to convey the message the author wanted to get across. Not being full of happy moments doesn't mean it's poorly written; I can't believe there are people who actually think like this lmao. I do agree though that the epilogue was kinda unnecessary in the sense that we didn't need to get that one final stab in the gut before this manga ends, sensei. The angst from all the previous chapters was already enough lol *sobs*

actually it's a vague ending

people thought that it's a sad ending cause tomohisa died and left hide all by himself for 20 yrs, but if you read and understand the last chapter where Hide visited the grave it actually kinda give a feeling that Hide is already going to follow Tomohisa with the phrase "from here on too, I'll promise my love to you, i will always be with you" it's just like saying "tomohisa i've already live a long life including yours so from here on or from now on i'm going to follow you and BE WITH YOU"
sorry i'm a wishy washy person and i like for all things to be a happy ending one, though i admit that I was sad with how the author killed Tomohisa and left hide all alone by himself, not letting the readers have a "LIVING HAPPILY EVER AFTER" feeling and not letting us imagine what they were after THE BOTH OF THEM GOT OLD....

i gave it a 7 because of the art.
i love the art but i kind of wish i hadn't read this, especially the end.
it's one heartbreak after the other with no real light moments to give the reader a break. and then the epilogue hits.
my first response was "seriously? was that extra stab and twist really needed?"
it reminds me too much of all those chinese series that have been censored so that the same sex couples never get to be together and happy in the end.
if you like stories that make you feel miserable and depressed after reading it then you will like this one. if you want something positive, or even ambivalent, then look elsewhere. my advise is to stop with kimi to parade and let the story end on a brighter note.

Honestly, I came here for the art. I wanted something sweet like the previous manga I had just read so I found this in related categories. I saw it was a tragedy and thought, "Oh, no, I want something cute." But the art was enough to convince me to read it.

And oh, my gosh, it was worth the read. It was a bit quick, and there were some parts where I just thought

"why doesn't he just move to Germany with him in the first place?"
Non-spoiler version: "If you just did ___ it would be easier, but no, there has to be a plot dammit." Oh, well. It went by quickly, and as the other comments suggest, DOWNLOAD THE EPILOGUE. Just search the translator used in the description and go to their "projects" page, it's under the text-only section.

I personally loved it, but I'm also just a sucker for cute stories like these. I'm a little disappointed the other reviews are lower because they didn't like the ending. I mean, it's up to the author, right? But that's not the point. It's a sweet story with lovable characters, good humor, and it just shows how relationships are tough. Worth the read.

This will be my first time commenting on BU and I decided to do it here because I had a lot of feelings to share.

I decided to change my rating from an 8 to a 1... because now that I think about it, this manga wasn't what I wanted or expected for the sequel. The art is amazing, BEAUTIFUL even. And the story was alright, but yeah. It wasn't worth it for me. It was too sad? and had too many things happen in one manga, and to such a lovely couple too. Plus the ending was just... saaaaad. Imagine having the ending of "Kimi to Parade" where they get together, AND THEY ARE STILL GETTING TOGETHER IN PARADISE VIEW. It almost feels like they were never really a couple? in the manga. At least to me. So yeah, 1. Too many trials for TWO volumes and too emotional that I almost died with sadness.

[deleted here my long comment defending my reasons for the 8, but yeah, it's not important]

With that said I add in a READ AT YOUR OWN RISK because THIS IS THE MOST PAINFUL SEQUEL YOU WILL EVER READ. There's nothing remotely happy about this manga or volumes except for the last chapter. Yup, just chapter 8. RIGHT FROM THE START, there is a foreshadowing of endings and pain.

Not the ending I hope for. I guess it makes sense for Hideo to follow Tomohisa to Germany since he had already suffered so many unhappiness in the past. It'd be unfair for him to give up his dream again. But the epilogue really breaks my heart. Tomohisa died due to illness, leaving Hideo to live alone in their house for 20 years, still loving him even after his death. How cruel of the author! Why can't you just draw an ending with them living happily ever after! *sob sob*

I just want to see them happy with my own eyes.
