Mediocre smut

I am also into the (large) age gap romance. Since it's a smut, I did expect much more steamy erotica. But the sex scene in this manga is just too plain and too much of a rush, probably below average for its genre IMO. Although the May-December plot seems promising, the storytelling is not interesting at all.

I'm very into the whole age gap thing. Yes, even if that person is old enough to be the other one's parent.
I would have liked more of a storyline, but I'm happy enough with what I got.
Wasn't as much of a Fan of the sidestory though ... (I was hoping it had something to do with the son, heh.)

It was a pleasant change of pace to see a much older male with a younger female in a shoujo/josei manga for once.

And I like that they have sex like it's normal for a couple, without all the no's and all the excuses.

The age gap was a bit startling but he doesn't look too old.

It's used pretty often in BL, oyaji's that is.

Come on a girl he knew since a little girl and about the same age as your son. To top that off your son and girl grew up together. Its absurd and no way her feelings for him would remain the same. Even if it did no father in their right mind would accept such feelings because of their close contact with each other since she was a child. He is almost like her father who can easily become her guardian if something were to happen to her parents.

Like reading a Shoujo Manga

THis is kind of like reading a shoujo manga...

First, I don't see how it can qualify for slice of life. Everything in chapter 1 could have spanned across one whole volume. For that, I think this story is quite lacking in structure and hence isn't a story that is that much worth reading despite the braveness of how it ventures into a taboo (I say taboo because they are supposed to be "childhood friends" and I get it if it's a more recent relationship of friendship but when it's childhood friends...that just gets really weird hence the ease at which everyone seems to accept the situation doesn't feel slice of life at all....)

I also think it's redundant to tag this "josei" with a smut tag because often times smut tag is associated with a shoujo in my opinion since josei itself inplicitly concerns mature content including sexual. And this is completely opinionated but I think having the smut tag is implicitly a tag that's basically saying,"this manga qualifies for josei because of the theme but it is actually more like a shoujo." That's just me though.

The theme itself is quite "out of the box" and maybe it could be interesting but the way this manga has approached it hasn't made me very appreciative of it with its lack of proper structure.

I know that you're trying to distinguish yourself as a josei for a more adult audience (i.e. not shoujo audience) but the way you're going at it is wrong. It's very rushed and really leaves a terrible "aftertaste" that reflects the mangaka's naivete I think.

Yes, it's just as the tags let one guess - A rushed Smut story including adult characters (Yes, it's a Josei ...) and nothing more. In my eyes the romance part comes just too short, to make me like the characters or get any kind of understanding for their actions. It's just too unnatural, how the two get together in the glimpse of an eye and the son - and his feelings - are in front ot the female leads feelings totally forgotten.

Only thing, that picked my interest was the drawing style and that is simply not enough to keep it up. So, all in all it was a try and there won't be a second one with the next chapter. 미안해.

Based on the very first story, I was hoping to be able to at least feel sympathy towards her, but it was simply too rushed. There was no sexual tension there that I seek in smut, but it's just plain sex to me. Oh, well, what can you expect, this is more shoujo soft-core porn than anything... On the other hand, it's smutty, and we shall take what we are given (us smut lovers- that us)
