I don't know why, but I really am sure that this series will remain in my memory for looooong time.. storyline and the characters are so damn cute and the style too. I love those simple mind stories I guess, and this is one of the bests..
It's such a sad story
The story end in chapter 5 and his souls die there with his lover ashes.

i love this, damn so heart wrecking story.. i feel my heart ripped.. tbh somehow i hope amemori regained his memories...
Beginning: Really boring with bland potato faced characters I've seen 3000 times before. This is also my least favorite art style.
Middle: Ridiculous. I get it's supernatural, but honestly, this story didn't give itself any limitations. It was just like, eff it. Let's do this. Let's do whatever we want.
End: This was the most interesting part. I would have given this a 3 if not for the more entertaining ending chapters.

Thinking back on this, I can't really get myself to like this as much as I liked it when I read it. I am an absolute sap for, "I will die for you" and "forever in love with you" plot-lines, but seriously something just feels off -creepy- about this when I think about it. Even though, I really did love it a lot.
I am also honestly impressed that Aruku is the story author for this, though then again I have seen the same mangaka make something really beautiful and then some really fucked up shit as well and I never cease to be surprised as to how both stories can come forth from the same person.

It got better and more interesting at the end.
I think the core story has its merits and could've been made into a touching and thrilling manga. Unfortunately the artist didn't quite manage to bring out the plot's full potential with her panels and drawings imo; the delivery just fell short in the end for me even though I did enjoy bits and pieces of it. Also I'm not a fan of the art style, it's too 'harsh' and sharp for my personal liking. A bit of a shame.
