Okay so i think i just wasted my time reading this... I feel sorry for Yasushi. he always gets cheated on without knowing anything and if he did, he acts as if nothing happened and Nakano and him just fucks to solve everything.
I really like yasushi, he's like a very loyal person, he deserves someone better
honestly i think Yasushi should be the one pouring his eyes out. Oh and i forgot to mention
I Dont care if nakano had a terrible past but he needs to get over it so he could finally be fucking happy but nooooooooo he goes and fuck more guys and treat yasushi like shit whenever he's trying to make out with him.

Shunji was a wimp in the past for letting all that happened to him and now he is like super violent for no reason. I dont find anything likable about him AT ALL. The way he hung up on his old love in find of the seme is just mean and insensitive. If I was the seme, I would dump his sorry ass. Guy like him without any saving grace and dont know how to stand up for himself when necessary can be found anywhere. The seme is a devoting type (expect the rape at the beginning).
And I almost vomit when he gave the other guy that bj. Gross as ever.
I was so happy that the seme slap him back. Happiest moment of the series. And of course, he cried like a wuss.

When Shiuko Kano sets her mind to writing something serious, she does a fairly good job of it. Otonage is one of her better efforts. It’s also worth noting that this story begins in Kawaige - specifically chapters two and three, so it’s best to start there to get their back story.

I guess I’m such a huge fan because the story and characters hit all my favorite weak spots. Nakano and Yasushi are an opposites attract type couple, which to me, makes the relationship all that more interesting because it sets up an interesting dynamic. How do two people with seemingly different personalities and backgrounds learn to overcome their differences to make things work? While Yasushi (the seme) is your typical good-looking, all-around popular guy; Nakano, on the other hand, is close-mouthed, rough, and at times very vulnerable. Much of the misunderstandings and problems that arises in their relationship stems from Nakano, but with good reason.

Like many other characters in countless different mangas, Nakano has had your typical tragic childhood, but at least in his case, it’s easy to see how his trauma has affected him. He’s untrusting and incapable of fully expressing his feelings without resorting to childish or immature displays of emotions, which he often takes out on Yasushi. Yasushi, the poor guy. He loves Nakano, but he struggles to understand him. Unoriginal he may be, but only someone of his temperament could have been able to finally break down Nakano’s walls. I know there were parts in the story where I got annoyed with Yasushi and wondered why he put up with Nakano’s crap, but Nakano’s actions in the last chapter gave a lot of clarity and to his personality. At that moment, I was glad Yasushi was a bit of a pushover.

Sprinkle in a healthy dose of smut and you have yourself a pretty good story on your hands. 8/10 and definitely worth a read or two.

I feel horrible for Shunji. His past is rough, and he's really freaking damaged. But Yasu seems to be fine with it (well, not FINE, but he just wants Shunji), which is sweet.

I was pretty ticked at Shunji for a while for doing...certain things...when Yasu wasn't around (or conscious). But that's who he is, and he felt he had no choice, and his boyfriend doesn't mind, so they're good.

I give this a 9/10 because I'm really, really not a fan of infidelity or rape (partial or otherwise).

After being turned completely off by the Finder series (thanks to the creepy Feilong), I swore that I'd never make another attempt at yaoi again. But being the pushover that I am, I let the same friend--who'd suggested the Finder series to me--push off a few Kano-sensei works on me. Of the three series' of hers that I've read, I was actually pretty impressed—especially with this story.

Both gloomy_gloo and huggybear1218 nailed it with how Shunji's character should really be interpreted. Considering all of the things that he'd been through during his adolescent years, you'll pretty much find yourself wondering how he managed to keep it together even just a little from that point on. He actually turned out to be a pretty decent guy.


Oh, and Jin from story 4 up there kinda gets what he deserves...

I must admit that I didn't read the prequel beforehand so I was a bit confused when I first started reading this story, having no idea what the characters' backgrounds were; even so, I was still drawn to their relationships.

I liked the story overall because of all the angst and conflicts, though there were parts where I really wish the story was longer to give more character developments.

if anyone really read the story they would look past shunji's tough guy exterior and his grouchy demeanor and realize that there is a scared, scarred, and distrustful little boy inside that is stuck in the past and hates himself! this story is about the lover who understood that and(i won't say he was perfectly patient but...) patient enough to stick with him even with his own insecurities till they could find and trust each other's love language. AND THIS IS TO mangafan321...IF YOU WERE IN A BAD SITUATION WITH LOW SELF ESTEEM AND NO SELF WORTH, YOU WOULD HAVE DONE WHATEVER IT TOOK TO KEEP THE ONE LIGHT YOU HAD IN YOUR LIFE! THATS ALL HE DID. IT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN THE BEST CHOICE BUT THAT ALL HE KNEW TO DO! THATS WHY WHEN THE TRUTH CAME OUT HIS LOVER WASN'T DISGUSTED OR MAD AT HIM. so to all readers out there i think you should definately read this! its awesome, and makes you awwwwwwww at the end!

Shunji is one of the most disgusting characters ive read about in a long time, this jerk cheats on his boyfriend, and then goes home and does it with his lover. he even gives another guy a bj while his boyfriend is in the back seat sleeping. this guy is gross and i dont know why anyone would want to sleep with him. can anyone say aids? yuck! im stunned they stayed together....
