A pretty entertaining novel, but currently not translated very far, hence the above average rating only. This will be revised later once more chapters are out.
The story is similar to many Japanese ones where the MC goes to a magic high school but his abilities gets underestimated by others because it doesn't fit in according to some criteria. The MC in this instance is quite smart and hardworking, like other Japanese novels of this genre he is also very popular among the ladies but doesn't return their feelings due to whatever reason. The writing is good, no noticable plotholes and characters are charming. There's some funny moments here and there. So the execution is good despite the not very original setting. The translation is also well done so another plus there.
The comments before me were a confusing mess so I had a hard time understanding what they were saying, but I should note there's no NTR in this novel. I don't think they understand what NTR means. NTR = a rage inducing genre where the wife cheats on the husband with some asshole, in this novel the sister of the MC is merely in love with her brother like many other Japanese high school comedies. (They're not blood-related so its all good.)

So forgot to give my opinion on the story itself apart from the NTR i agree on the other points bakaleaf has funny tho when i first saw his comment i was like meh.
But now that i read till last update the author indeed has his priorities backwards the MC doesnt have any real romance or at least good romance instead of the typical dense i dont know if you want me to look up your skirt or not shizzle.

I give this novel a 2 out of 5 these 2 points go to the ghost libary girl if she wasnt in the story it would have gotten a 0 this is completely opinion based meaning -.- the story isnt worth reading if u seek a real BANG of a story

So Tia hates his guts at first and wants to set him straight as the filthy commoner he is right ??? then why the fuck later on in the story does she suddenly have a LOVER WHO IS A COMMONER apart from the fact that she becomes a useless side character in a hamer story if her lover is indeed a commoner why did she want to destroy the mc at the beginning ??? (she has a commoner as a lover so this would mean she doesnt discriminate against them or is she like i dont see you as a commoner so dont worrie i still hate them all except for you?? tell that to his parents when you get married will be a good introduction i recon ^^)
So all said and done at this point the story provides no fun at all for whom is the story written obviously not for the MC and Tia feels very full of holes only thing i can predict later on in the story is that the COMMONER LOVER will backstab her or something along those lines and the DENSE MC on shiney horse will rescue her adding her back to the harmer again.
But there is a problem if this would happen if i were a guy and i help a chick that was madly in love with some guy for several years 2-3 years and in secret so it aint a light relationship so even if for some reason they get seperated and the mc seems like a nice guy to her and she starts to love him why the heck would the mc pass on the other great girls for this girl?? helll NOOOO

If the prediction in the spoiler tag proves to be tru even then the story wont be fun at all i can only geuss that Tia was added to be original making a non harem/love interest fall in love with someone els than the mc but from the beginning till the appearance of random LOVER she was just a diffrent harem member meaning she showed sings and acted like a girl that was slowly starting to fall in love with the MC i am even suspecting that the translator just made a 1 APRIL CHAPTER trolling the whole community or its like the author really wanted to fuck the readers over HARD i am used to this so i got over it in like 5 min but even then it was a very harsh cockblock move

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei - its similar but not the same

Just want to add some negative comment based of the few chapter I have read.
The sister was a big disappointment for me
A brocon? yet she stick to a certain guy and they act like lovers lol
Potential NTR is high
Lets just hope a new female protagonist is introduce or else I am dropping this novel
The so called sister don't expect to much at her
She might be the future lover of the main villain of the story
If only she was not introduce as a brocon *sigh or maybe she isn't just that my own misunderstanding?
Actually if we focus on MC I can say little about it I mean his character is good but..
I don't know what the author of this novel is thinking
his making plot out of plots make the story to much POV from useless and unnecessary characters..
*sigh* I always feel lost after I read this so I might be dropping this one

Take Tia for example this b*t*c I thought she is part of MC harem but it was not.
Whats the point having POV of her? not only is she a minor character I can call her a plot destroyer. I mean she appears out of nowhere then join for awhile then all of a sudden she got some POV? its a big waste of chapter.. Do the author realize readers don't care about a minor character who rarely appear's love life? when I read Tia's POV I was like WTF!? not part of the plot not even an interval at least tell me why the hell we need to know her love story? WHEN the mc doesn't have even a LOVE story of his own.
