Super Chuuni Protagonist

The summary should read more like:

"Takuma was just another chuuni gamer, but a twist of fate sees him summoned to another world--in the body of his character that he role played with all his chuuni as a demon lord! And no one's more terrified of the prospect than Takuma himself, since he doesn't know how to talk to people without acting chuuni. He may have power of a max level character with raid boss drops, but he's in way over his head. So he acts super chuuni and accidentally winds up with a pair of gorgeous slaves: a voluptuous elf and a cat girl. It's not what any of them wanted, but they'll have to figure out how to work together if they want to act like a bunch of clowns and get by on the fact that everyone is lower level than the protagonist!"

That's my brutally honest version of the summary. I stopped reading at chapter 31 because I just couldn't take the protagonists foolish act anymore and any jokes related to it either didn't translate well or just weren't funny. The two slaves are basically just there because of tits and everyone else is there to show how over powered a max level character is in a town where most people are lucky to be half his level. The only thing close to a challenge to him are the demons and even the strongest of them don't seem to be able to stand up to him. It's basically your standard "in another world" story except the twist is the main protagonist is super chuuni and pretends he's a demon lord. I suppose some people might be into that but I'm just not.

I liked it pretty much

It's a nice manga, it's kinda like a mix of overlord(so inferior that I don't even want to compare them though) and a normal isekai novel. The novel version is too long to read so the flaws stand out way more, the manga is better and more enjoyable because things move quicker.

However, just like any japanese mc he suffers from a weak personality and in this case some social anxiety issues. He will not kill people and will refer to it as "being stronger than them so he doesn't have to kill them" or some other bullshit, which comes back to bite him in the ass when the villains cook up some plan and almost rape, kill or actually does torture the girls he travels with. When people do annoying stuff, he doesn't kill them nor use a lot of force to resolve the problem, instead he's acting like a big shot yet doesn't dare to actually do anything big like going against a town, army or country.

The power levels and systems are also shaky at best, we don't actually get any proper information about it. I also don't think he's strong enough(not enough MP and his spells are not destructive enough), I wish he became a REAL demon king and not just a fake on, I'm not even clear on what race he is since his horns are just an accessory. A random army guy referred to as "hero"(he's not a hero, he's just a warrior of some kind) can actually push this guy back to some extent. Though he had used some of his MP and thus was weakened a bit and he's a generic Japanese mc that doesn't want to kill no matter who it is and thus doesn't go full power, I still felt he was pushed back a bit too much considering he's supposed to be at least as powerful as the demon kings of that world and should probably be stronger. I mean, there's one thing if he was assaulted by a hero's party when weakened and had a hard time, but this was one guy who's surely not even at the same level as him and sure as hell does not have even close to as good equipment... Sigh.

So, worth a read, found it amusing, slow release rate though and he's got the usual ball-less japanese personality even though his face never shows it.

Good story, slow translation?

So far this manga has turned out to be very exciting and refreshing. A neet is summoned as his character into the game world, nothing new right? But the characters are very like-able and the story is told at a decent pace. It is a good start, however the translations are extremely slow even for the light novel. Only chapter 1 has been translated for the light novel so it makes me cringe on how long it will take for the manga to be translated. It's a shame to since this just might be a hidden gem amongst the current fad going on in manga currently.
