I wouldn't say it's extremely goid since I felt like it's lacking a bit when it cones to the depth of the story. They just basically threw 2 fcked up brothers then that's it. Though this left a good impression to me somehow. Not something I would reread many times but I would definitely recommend thos to those who likes these kinds of stories

I super like psychological mangas, especially ones that deal with incest (twisted, I know LOL), but although this one held promise at first, it totally misfired in the end.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
wtf, there was basically no indication at all of Motoharu's feelings. He even looked like he was enjoying his normal life. Then all of a sudden his brother rapes him and he's like "ok, I like you I guess"??? Didn't make sense at all. The extra chapter that "explains" this bad writing is just as bad, if not worse. If Motoharu also ends up as a twisted character, I need to see that in the beginning as well. Otherwise the "rape" scene (I guess I need to put quotes around it...jesus) just looks like gratuitous incest rape for the sake of cheap smut. Nah, you can miss me with that nonsense.

Basically, incorrect use of plot devices and plot twists. Had promise but blew it. Disappointed.

Idk, this did not impress me too much tbh; it's no where near the best interpretation of its theme among what I've come across, that's for sure. It never went quite as dark as I had hoped even though the author clearly intended for a psychological approach. Execution of the second half was probably just too lax imo; any tension built up prior to it seems like a waste and kinda sticks out of place. I would've have preferred a more nuanced attempt, or at least more depth would've been nice. The whole thing's a tad bit too shallow for me :/

Insidiously Beautiful

The title is quite apt, and this is enough to convince me that actually thought and effort was put in this.
The theme is consistent with the artistic style (I have always liked Tamekou's artistic style), which does well to set out the atmosphere of story. It is truly well paced and the narration and the dialogues are well thought out. Moreover, using no dialogues at certain key moments and instead relying on the visual medium itself is masterfully used.
There were cuts. Certain moments which just happened and were than left completely unexplained or commented upon, and not in a good way either. It was just forgotten. For me this happens about three times, and while one of them I don't mind much, the other two are crucial pivotal points to the story as such I feel a bit disappointed.
But, over all, something that I would recommend to others (if they can stand this sort of thing).
