Mel does start off a little emo, but this series quickly gets into some really good content. I just love this story and it's so heartwarming to read through. The last few chapters made me cry repeatedly. The art is also great and can pull of funny scenes as well. The series could use some editing to make some plot lines play out in a better way, but they're just nitpicks from my perspective.

And can we talk about their names. Cuz that's honestly why I gave it a lower than average rating. Who fucking comes up with sh*t names like "Lynn", "Grace", "Olivia" and "Sue"? Literally like aging WASP-y, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard grannie names. Like the people at my preppy as hell Ivy League college moms probably have names like that. No flex intended, but lotsa people here are rich as hell and are like that. Anyway. So fucking unsexy. Honestly ruined the series for me cuz of that too.

This manhwa was only ever cute up until the end of the first half, right after they become an item and before the whole gimmick of an evil ex was brought into the picture. From then on it all just spiralled downward into the stalest, most boring and predictale K-drama you can find, and that climax is honestly so ridiculous I actually have to laugh.


So yeah, read it for the characters and their chemistry and how they slowly start to find comfort in one another. Which is why you should stop reading when all of those were thrown down the drain in exchange for some cheap drama that contributed absolutely nothing to elevating the story. Oh well, at least the art is very pretty and hot when it needs to be.
