I read this almost a year ago, but I keep thinking back to it so I had to put a comment. This was a super cute webtoon. I really liked how weird it was. It was creepy weird, but also cute. I mean, how can something be creepy and cute? This is an example. I will say that the male lead wasn't my favorite because he was so quiet, but I really liked the relationship between him and Liz so I overlooked it.

I CRIED WHILE READING THIS. IT ACTUALLY MADE ME SAD at some parts. I usually don’t cry when reading but this story really got to me. At first the art was kinda funky to me but I got used to it. The storyline was very beautiful. I love the character development. Liz and Damon’s love story is so beautiful. Although overall this story is extremely amazing and fun to read, a few chapters in the middle of the story seemed to drag on (nothing happening between Liz and/or Damon). Nevertheless, this story really warmed my heart and made me cry; I would definitely recommend this!

I've read up to ch 25 and I just cant get into it. I might come back to finish it if I get super bored.
Pros: The premise is creepy cool and the creepy art is pretty good.
Cons: the art for non-creepy characters/settings is pretty bland. The characters are very 1 dimensional. There's nothing to make you feel attached to the characters and the story's slow pacing makes it feel pointless.

Bland storyline & artwork

This read is the MOST BORING cliche "romance" read I have ever encountered. The author used EVERY cliche you can think and was very unsuccessful in its deliverance in creativity and unique plot. Not only that, the first 50 chapters DRAGGED. There was very poor character building for Liz's part since she is the center of these "ghosts". She is just the usual helpless boring dumb girl, looking to help everyone but depends entirely on someone else to do this job. Not only this, Damon and Drake gains absolutely nothing from her besides her status as a trophy wife.

The plot is SUPER boring, the artwork is like a joke webtoon build off from Family Guy. I would have just watched Family Guy because at least they have better inside jokes. The "action" or movements portrayed in this read was so stiff, and then they drew lines to indicate movement. It is so tedious that I resent it EVERY TIME the author wanted to indicate "fighting". Half of the time, I had to predict whether they were actually fighting or just standing around talking.

The only reason I gave this a 2* is because I actually like the ghosts in this read. Because of the imperfection of the artwork, the ghosts come off as actually being creepy and distorted. Not only that, the IDEA of a Ghost Wife seemed interesting (at first). If only the author could have elevated Liz's role as a Ghost Wife instead. I mean, we know what school is like, so to base the first half of the series around Liz at school was just...a mistake. Not to mention, there are ghosts and demons lingering all over Liz and the author just failed to make school more interesting.

I would never recommend this read and I am unsure as to why others like this manga.

Horror + cute = cute

Although I'm not a fan of horror, the author does a good job of mixing the horror with cute elements. And there is really tangible character development that is shown through the story as well as the art itself.

It starts off pretty scary artwise and storywise, but then we can see just as the MC does that it was mainly scary because it was new, unknown, and we didn't understand it. But after spending time and getting to know all of the ghosts, most are hella cute. It's hilarious how her ghost crew just keeps getting bigger and bigger lmao.
MC is hella endearing and I can see why the ghost made her his wife lmao. Her main guy is also interesting, but a lot of his past is still shrouded in mystery. Actually a lot of the plot is still shrouded in mystery, which makes you want to know more. And so far I'm a big fan of all the side characters, but sometimes I wish this story would just turn up the dial on the romance. It's present but 100 chapters in and not as much as I would like.

So far we've got holding hands, hugs, and a cheek kiss. Good luck ghost boi MC is popular.

Edit: Sadly, this felt like it ended too soon and was not as developed as I would have liked. I do give it brownie points for having a unique ending/epilogue tho.

I enjoy this manga for several reasons.
1. Atypical male lead. He is scary, yet innocent.
2. Weak female lead but not stupid. She’s just a normal girl but she does her best.
3. Progression is not rushed between the leads 🙂
I look forward to reading more!

I randomly chose this because it had one of the highest views on LINE webtoon. I wasn't going to expect much of it; in fact, I was going to scroll really quickly through the first 3 chapters, but it caught me on the very first one.

It's an unexpected melting pot of a comic. Some of the ghosts will probably cause me a little bit of paranoia for the next few days, but it's very funny with just the right amount of horror and romance.

This one doesn't get enough recognition. I'll admit the amateur art and coloring put me off a bit (the lack of emoting from the cast it's oh so very frustrating), but the story is a gem and the author is actually quite good at sequencing- every scene just flow so smoothly it actually accomplishes what Marvel and DC tried to do with their animated comics.

I absolutely love the stark contrast between the horror (I haven't been THAT creeped out since the original It miniseries came out in the nineties) and the more "cute" scenes between the leads. The balance is just about right, never once feeling forced, and extremely effective. And while one would imagine just a basic premise would get tiresome quite fast, every new chapter tackles a new approach to the main conflict and the supernatural side characters are a delight. I would love to see it animated.
