At Grace Field House, life couldn't be better for the orphans! Though they have no parents, together with the other kids and a kind "Mama" who cares for them, they form one big, happy family. No child is ever overlooked, especially since they are all adopted by the age of 12. Their daily lives involve rigorous tests, but afterwards, they are allowed to play outside. There is only one rule they must obey: do not leave the orphanage. But one day, two top-scoring orphans, Emma and Norman, venture past the gate and unearth the horrifying reality behind their entire existence.

the last chapter was quite unnecessary and it is declining a bit towards the end (I hope they give it a nice ending )

It is lately getting overly dramatic with deaths .Up to what I see the author had in mind what characters would die and had this so fixed that the plot completely goes down if any of those more "relevant" characters had survived or died before they over-lived their usefulness.(She has ended up having an unmovable story line)

She has also killed off some other characters to give dramatism (this is a trope I don't like)

All in all everything else in this manga is great but I don't think I will enjoy reading it whole again .

If she ends up randomly shipping Emma to have a "wholesome ending" I'll curse her[img][/img]

That is if you can handle dark themes. There are many plot twists, heart wrenching moments, and heart warming moments to even it all out. I'd recommend this to people who like good hearted characters in a corrupt world or to those who like mind games and suspense.

Incredible first arc (just "ok" as it goes on tho).

It got less interesting as it went on imo (but never bad). But it still deserves the rating for just how fantastic that first arc was. I was seriously on hooks reading it. Twist after twist. Nearly gave me hypertension lol. I definitely recommend it. Who knows maybe you'll enjoy the later arcs more than I did.

The setting of the manga is established in first chapter itself. And after reading one chapter I knew this series is going to be great. So, try the first chapter atleast to witness the magnificent art and gorgeous color pages. Its extremely fast paced and intense throughout. With each passing chapter there are new developments, plot twists, mind games and subtle character development. There has never been a dull moment in the 43 chapters I have read so far.

read it now, it's already about 36 chapters and i really hooked on it!
hope it can last long but not more than 7-8 volumes (like about 80 chapters in jump)
good manga doesn't have to be long series

A dark, thrilling manga. The beginning seems a little cliche, but as you go on you can't stop reading. It's crazy how so far (chapter 34) there's no filler, no unnecessary scenes, every chapter is very rich, strong, and will leave you hanging. Even by chapter 7 I've came up with so many theories! The author knows how to deliver a story, and there are unexpected, brilliant plot twists every now and then. Don't worry though, it's not the tiring and absurd type of plot twists! It'll make you excited and come up with new theories!

Each time it updates I stop everything I do to read it.
It's becoming more and more interesting as the story unfolds. I can't get bored of it. This is oh so well written each chapter's cliffhanger is killing me.
Honestly I don't have enough praises for this manga... One thing for sure : don't pass it up !!!

You know I like this kind of dark and depressing stuff, but GOD why did it have to be so cute in the beginning?? It was obvious something terrible was going to happen eventually, but the reveal was s o much worse than I expected. Damn author is just cruel. And that was just the first chapter. I could barely bring myself to look at, much less draw a dead loli. Time to cry myself to sleep.

It's still too early to comment on the story. It looks promising and even though the concept of "demons raising young kids like livestock, then eat them" may not seem appropriate for a magazine like Weekly Shounen Jump, so far there was only one gruesome scene; most of these chapters simply show the 3 main characters making plans to escape this fate. If you want to start this series, wait until more chapters are out.

Speaking for myself, but seeing the cover picture was an obvious hint that it was a bit dark with the numbers printed onto their necks despite the happy colors on the first few pages. The first chapter was pretty much interesting because you'd think what am I suppose to expect? But in a sense, you have a similar Owari no Seraph introduction cliche, jailbreak right at the end with an interesting change and a somewhat HxH sense in terms of trying to outwit each other.

The characters with where I've read being only 6 chapters so far doesn't give any good solid ideal review yet but it's a good series for being only as the introduction so far, the characters fit to their ideal impression and trait.

After continuing with more chapters, I have to say up to date of where I'm at presently (ch. 32), there isn't a chapter that had let me down. I've been hyped one chapter after another, my brain is always rattling up a new theory or ideas. It's really an intense series where you can't EVER predict what will happen at all. This is beyond worth it, this is a golden series for myself, I can't wait to be able to buy it in English one day.
