It somehow falls onto the boisterous Kamina and cowardly Simon to defend their village, but once they defeat the monster what awaits the duo on the surface world? Get ready for buxom babes, beastmen, and giant mechs as only GAINAX can provide them!

Still my favorite anime shows of all time after many years. Though when it comes to deciding between the manga and the anime, it's a toss up. Each had it qualities. I think I may enjoy the anime more because, of GAINAX's great animation job, it makes it more visually appealing. However, the manga does have a few things that the anime left out. So whether you've seen the anime before or want to watch it, it's probably best to read the manga first, since it goes into more detail plot-wise.

The anime was epic Kinda ruined it by showing them all old and shit would have been better if they weren't
you know just to leave the rest open for imagination

Maybe an actual feature length film type thing, but alright

I think that the genre Tragedy must be put on. Personally I don't like that genre and now I feeling deceive from the manga. I watch anime too and I don't like it. If someone of u expect happy ending u can forget about it.

Like stated above the review is mostly based on the anime, which has great animation/drawing, characters, and story. The manga seems like it will stay true to the anime, and the drawing is right there, so thumbs up.

Ok this is about anime ending, will not say what exactly it is but it is sad. The ending is pretty much out of the 3 main characters that started the revolution, the 2 remaining go through the most/ loose the most and receive the least in the end or i should say they choose to receive the least. They pretty much fade away which is sad.

I watched the anime, collected the dvds, and started reading the manga. Its just AMAZING! Completely worth reading/watching, The plot just just keeps getting better and better by each episode and chapter. The art is very unique you just gotta love it, my rating is at least 20/10.

This was such an amazing anime, you just have to see it. The manga is great, too. The storyline is interesting and never boring. The art is awesome, and the characters are unique and just brilliant. There's tons of character development. It can be a little predictable, but there are still plenty of plot-twists to keep you intrested.

One of the best animes I've ever seen, be sure not to miss it!

I've watched the anime and started the manga (which is strongly similar).
apparently they are the same plot wise, but the manga will be more in-depth and explain some things, so I'm hoping for the best!

anime was absolutely amazing. don't skip on it

It's Gurren-Lagann, that's enough for an 11/10. I love how they achieved not killing the character designs.
