Description

Volume 1:

LI2 is later redeemed after a timeskip, the second part of the story is about him and MC2.

Omegaverse Story

I won't lie, I find the idea of omegaverse fascinating but only when it's executed with a good storyline and feelings coming across and this is a painful omegaverse drama.

The first volume is dark and it raises many questions and fears.

The uke, Yuka, is being hunted on school campus during his heat and his own friends want to rape him. That fact is traumatizing enough, not to mentioned being a paid without his consent. The seme, Kaoru, on the other hand managed to save the uke from everyone else by forming the pair, but not from his own self. Even though its hurtful to the uke, its hurtful to seme as well because that can't be how he imagined to be lovers with him.

When Taiga thought to himself that Yuka had a different scent, I got a feeling that Yuka was his fateful pair. His mindset on the whole omegaverse situation is bad enough that if he bonded with someone who wasn't his fateful pair, he would break the bond because he was only interested in his fated pair. The irony or tragedy is that he already lost his fated pair that same day on the roof when he wanted to rape Yuka. Taiga's friend already hinted at the situation by saying, ''You probably already passed right beside them without noticing'' and the other friend added, ''Yuka's the same. He had the same scent as that omega girl'' and you can see Taiga's face realizing it then that Yuka was his fated pair.

Taiga is still the same even after years has passed. He has the same mindset of omegas as he did before when he was still in highschool. He has an omega lover named Rin whom he thinks of as a prostitute which he doesn't have to pay in order to have s*x.

Yuka goes to his doctor about his regular check-up and he finds out that someone on that roof was his fated pair, otherwise the symptoms wouldn't have been so strong to induce a heat. As fate would have it, or coincidence, Yuka meets Rin at the hospital and gets invited to where Rin works. Yuka asks Kaoru to meet him there and when Kaoru meets Rin, they go into heat because they are fated pairs. Fate is harsh on them.

From chapter nine and on we can clearly see into Taiga's behavior toward Rin changing. Small bits here and there but its a good development.

Second volume is basically a redemption arc for Taiga and his relationship with Rin and half of it is for Kaoru's and Yuka's relationship finally conveying their feelings in full.

The third volume is all about getting pregnant and having babies along with the side effects of suppressants.

I really feel sorry for Rin and Taiga. So painful. Forgetting the one you love cause of side effects in order to survive. But I'm happy that his memories are starting to return, even if it is at a slow rate.

All in all, I think when it comes to BL omegaverse comics, this is a good one to read. <3

the first volume is good, even though its dark, but the rest of the story is just bad. ive read this twice hoping i would get the hype, but i feel like only middle schoolers could fully enjoy it, or people with a weird kink for omegaverse. i wont lie, its entertaining, but definitely dont read it if you want something more substantial.

edit: posted this a couple years ago but after rereading it its rly not that bad. after the first volume things do progress pretty fast and some things felt out of place at times but its good. i definitely like the first volume better since it shows more the darker possibilities in an omegaverse, and that alone id give a 9/10

Yuka and Kaoru's pairing was very sweet and soft, and it would have been nice to see more of them as adults. I couldn't come to like Rin or Taiga or buy their romance so there was no emotional impact in the second half for me when it focused on their story.

I might fail to convey what i am thinking right now, but to put it simple this was a really nice one. The entire story and the progress with the elements used in it were very interesting. The mix of the fated partner against the feelings of the characters was just great. You feel the author is teasing you at the end of volume one but it turns out to be the core of the story.
I have to say Volume 3 was a total tearjerker for me, so many feelings that in the end just makes you think this was just such a nice thing to read.
The only thing i would complain about is what OmNom mentioned in their comment, but this is just a particular moment; because i think the author just didn't show it clearly, but volume 3 makes you understand that what happens in volume 2 was the result of more than just a "change of heart", it lacked a little bit of development but it is shown later on. I did not see it coming when i started to read this... thumbs up

i remember first time i read this is few months ago, but still the feelings is still here.. idk this is makes me cry so much huhuhu i love all character, Yuka, Kaoru, Rin, Taiga i love them all, and i love the plot i love everythinggggg and Taiga character development really from 0 to 100 its good tho..

at first i kinda annoyed of Rin because he keep force Kaoru its him because Kaoru is his fated person, even tho Kaoru already have Yuka.. he is just desperately want to loved..huhu but now i love Rin, uhuhu i really feel bad for Rin so so much he is baby. Taiga you must protect Rin!!! and Kaoru u must protect Yuka!!Yuka too already hurt so much i hope KaoruxYuka and TaigaxRin always be happy.. and its just me thingking that Kaoru looks like Karamatsu from manga/amime Osomatsu-san

Although I could barely handle the heart-breaking moments in the 2nd volume, I have to say it’s one of the omegaverse works with the best morality. It’s not easy to fight against fate at all, the mangaka did a good job in creating such strong and brave characters who did win fate which is totally necessary. However, there are still some details which aren’t convincing to me

like what if Yuka and Taiga had known they were fated parters sooner, would they have been strong enough to win fate? And what if Kaoru and Rin hadn’t met, would Taiga and Rin have been a thing?

Overall it's a nice message this manga tried to get across, and the earnest effort was definitely there, which I appreciate. I much prefer the first couple's story to the second though, mostly because too much time was spent on Rin pining for his fated partner rather than on building his relationship with Taiga, and as a result his sudden change of heart just to conveniently wrap the story up up felt a bit too abrupt and insincere. The audience barely got to know why Taiga cared about Rin so much or how Rin actually came to hold romantic feelings for Taiga. The mangaka was skimming a lot on developing Taiga and Rin as characters outside of the whole fated pair thing, which makes it harder to feel connected to them on a personal level and certainly did not help their romance become more believable and relatable. Ah well, a shame.
