Kurosaki Mafuyu was a juvenile delinquent and head of her gang before her subsequent arrest got her expelled from high school. Now that she’s transferred to a new high school, she’s determined to become an “ultra-shiny, super feminine high-school student.” But with a new friend like Hayasaka-kun and a homeroom teacher like Saeki Takaomi (who may be more than he seems), will Mafuyu really be able to live a girly-girl high-school life!?

Probably good, but the scanalation quality is poor
Had to drop this. From somewhere around 10 or 15, can't be bothered to verify, the quality of the translation is very poor. I'm not saying this out of disrespect, but I can't enjoy reading this. The sentences only make sense 50% of the time, and even then you remain doubtful. I tried to pull through, but around 26 I couldn't anymore.
I'm pretty sure this is a decent series, but I will have to wait for it to actually be translated properly.
I Laugh Until I Cry
I've read Ore-sama Teacher several times now and I laugh just as hard every time. The story follows Mafuyu, a former yankii bancho who was expelled from her high school. Her mother enrolls her at Midorigaoka Academy and tells her if she gets into another fight that she'll disown her.
The only problem is that when she gets there she saves a guy who ends up being her childhood friend. Takaomi turns out to be her teacher and he blackmails her and her new friend Hayasaka (also a yankii) into forming the Disciplinary Club to clean up the school. Along the way they make friends and acquire new members for the club and fight against the student council.
The plot is normally overlooked because most people read this series looking for a romance - but that's not the main focus. Most of the focus is actually on the random insanity of the club's hijinks as they struggle to make Midorigaoka a better place. The romance is barely there, with some hint of it with Takaomi and Mafuyu, Hayasaka's crush on Usa-chan Man (one of Mafuyu's secret identities), and Okegawa's crush on Mafuyu.
If you're looking for a romance, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a laugh and a good time, read Ore-sama Teacher.
Very funny. It had me crying during some scenes - in a good way. Main character is strong, naive, and stupid. It's a common combination, but is executed well in this case. The male lead is SO FREAKING ADORABLE. I would buy him on... Amazon. Very trusting, naive (as the female), and obsessive with Usagi-man. I'm kind of worried about the love relationships. I would be more comfortable if it went towards the male lead, however, the teacher... I'm not a big fan of those.
I started reading this expecting a comedy-romance between an ex-delinquent and her teacher. You can kind of imagine it there, but it is definitely not the fore-front of this manga. If you're looking for a cute rom-com this is not the story for you.
This story is mostly comedic about the adventures of the delinquent Mafuyu and the people she meets at her new school. You can literally ship her with almost any character you want because there's no real romance between her and any of the characters. Her relationship with most males in the story is (unwanted) friendship, rivalry or sort of sibling-like.
A lot of characters respect Mafuyu and some go out of their way to protect her, but nothing has escalated more than friendship. In fact, everything is so far from love that anyone's guess on who she will end up with can't totally be denied.
However, the tags seems to favor a relationship between her and Takaomi, which is what I'm rooting for and they do have the most history together. However, there hasn't really been any development.
This story is suuuuuper slow-paced. It would probably be better as an anime because reading chapter after chapter of random adventures is a little redundant. However the comedy is absolute gold and I laugh almost every chapter. This makes it worth reading. Plus it's fun to wait and wonder when some romance will develop.

This is not a romance manga
People walk into this expecting some sappy romance with a little bit of comedy mixed it. It is not. It is simply about the shenanigans of a retired junior high banchou trying to have a funny high school life. Which it is except comedy is at the forefront and it works really well. If you want to read about a powerful funny high school girl, read this, because you will end up laughing. The first few volumes are a bit shaky; many characters with no names are introduced and people are entering one after the other, really quickly. There are some people who look identical except for a mole here or there but after that, the ball really starts to roll. Fun times ensue with a bit of plot mixed in and even more characters entering and leaving just as quickly. Honestly, the plot isn't very great but it is made up for with the comedy, which truly is good. Tsubaki Izumi isn't really known for making the best stories (note: the massage manga where a random idea got accepted,) but seriously, just read this!
super awesome !!!

are we sure this is shoujo?
if you think the romance build up in skip beat is slooooow then i don't recommend this one; the build up here is even slower with a lot less ship-tease. the teacher (as in the title character, not the protagonist) is barely even present in the latest volumes and when he is there its a couple panels here and there with him mostly used as filler. the whole bet plot-line has lost focus and as a result there's no real sense of urgency to the newer chapters. hopefully the magnaka will eventually stop with the slice-of-life stuff and get on with the actual story sometime soon. that being said, if your reading it more as a strait up comedy then it has some great laugh out loud moments, especially in the beginning. i love usa-chan man. not going to rate this yet since its an ongoing series and who knows, it could end up being spectacular. right now i give it about a 7/10
Good but I'd recommend buying it
This is pretty enjoyable in a light entertainment sort of way, I'd strongly recommend picking up the official translations because the scanlations after volume four are more or less unreadable
The art: LOVE IT! The plot: SUPER UNIQUE, LOVE IT!! The characters: SUPER DUPER LOVE IT!! EVERYTHING JUST SEEMS SO PERFECT!! But sometimes i feel it turns into a Shounen manga but it's because of the lead characters but i super love it!! Every time i read this manga, i always have a smile on my face because of the plot and how funny the characters are. I just wish it will have an anime! Romance.. mmm... SEE FOR YOURSELF!! Super love the action, humor and everything!!

I started reading this when I read someone reviewed this so highly, with its laugh meter noted to be high. However, I rather found this just so-so to my disappointment. The art is pretty much average though with its shoujo-nish, the male protagonist did stood out.
I read Yanki-kun to Megane-chan (which was even published 2 years earlier) so this manga is low by par in art, tone/atmosphere, story, laugh meter and originality. Even though it's generally shounen, I'd recommend Yanki-kun to Megane-chan. You'll genuinely laugh within the 15 vols. No problem also in romance area, you'll definitely see it when you read it just like in this manga.
