The last few chapters were amazing...Not sure about the rest

This is not something new with webtoons or manhwas, that's why I mostly read mangas. The story as a whole, summarized in few sentences, is great but the execution is lacking and the potential depth it could've had is always missing, and it's exactly the case of December Rain. A sudden, intense but short love, like winter showers, all of those overflowing feelings, affection and obsession between those two, all started, lived and ended in one month, when I put it this way, December Rain had the potential to be a masterpiece but... the core of it was somehow shallow and it missed on a lot of opportunities of great dialogue and portrayal of this love. I enjoyed the last few chapters that's why my rating is not lower, and I am satisfied with the ending, their decision showed how intense their feelings for each other were (even though that was not successfully conveyed in the rest of the webtoon) and how important their existence closely to each other is to them. Not to mention the whole crime thing and the introduction of "K" but all was kept hanging afterwards. Could've been waaaay better, had great potential, but I enjoyed reading it nonetheless.

There were places I felt the story could have been tighter, but ultimately it got me. The last chapter gave me full-body goosebumps. The drama is subdued, even though the plot is intense. There are a lot of of quiet moments. The pacing threw me off a few times but in the end I think it was a success. I do think some of the loose ends bothered me, but the most important stuff was resolved.

Tragedy

From an objective standpoint the story was really well done. The unease and tension we feel as we read was really perfect.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
But I think we were promised a resolution to the case and it didn't even hint at it happening by the end. The detective met both K and the guy who K abuses and then left that thread hanging.

If the author had followed it up and resolved it (or just not started that thread in the first place) the ending would have been better. Certainly not any less of a tragedy, but at least there would be a bit more of a sense of closure.
