Description
Seth is an aspiring sorcerer from the Pompo Hills area. Like all wizards, he is an "infected": one of the few living beings who survived the contact of the Nemesis, these creatures fallen from the sky that contaminate and decimate all those they touch. His apparent immunity made him choose a path which seemed to him to be all the more appropriate: to become a Hunter and to fight the Nemesis. But more than that, Seth wants to engage in a quest that goes beyond the simple hunt for monsters ... He wants to find the Radiant, their presumed cradle. I can't get past the first 10 chapters.

I'll recommend watching the anime seasons because they flesh out the backstories a bit, but a warning: the first volume/first ten episodes are very cliche and honestly boring. It seems as if the author finally found a rhythm and thus the story and more importantly the characters begin to fill out depth and emotional motivations.Indeed, season 2 of the anime is much better and improves on most of the dreaded shounen tropes.
I highly recommend Raidant, especially once you get past the first volume/ handful of episodes in season 1. They discuss discrimination, loneliness, love, irrational fear of immigrants and other emotional plot devices that are surprisingly well-executed. I would love to give it an 8.5 but the beginning was, again bland at best.

It's cliche shounen story, but the manga published in french, so the story can be translated to english without the loss of plot or significant cultural difference. The art is good, but you can't help but draw parallel to other similar shounen manga. It really felt like the author pick the element of many story (even outside manga) and combine them into their own world building.
This is actually a good read if you can get past the first volume.

While I agree with the other comments that the beginning is very shounen, I encourage people to at least try to read beyond volume 1 because it only gets better.

Really, it's not bad per se, it's just so damn cliché that I feel I've seen this stuff a thousand times before, like the typical stuff, be it naruto, one piece or similar stuff. It adds nothing extra like good comedy or anything. The art is also disgustingly similar to that stuff. This wasn't for me at all, a complete newbie might love it.
