The first volume of the LN was really good. It hooked me up.
After that it's started to calm down and slowed with a bit of interesting moment here and there.
The only thing I don't like with the LN was side characters died way too fast and it's focusing too much on the main characters romance. It's feel like all the focus is only to them. The mecha design also not that great.
But as of the latest volume, it's started to get interesting again.
Not to mention also..the anime managed to adapt the LN beautifully without butchering it. Hell they even elevated it especially the 2nd second.
I have realised that it received a positive review mainly from newcomer so it's a good recommendation for people that still new to this scene. Mainly because they have nothing to compare to.

The anticipation of main characters meeting each other after all that build up was totally worth it.
It's the best part I would say. After that it's started to calm down and slowed with a bit of interesting moment here and there.
