Description

story - 10 simple but so relatable
characters - 9 they're just so real

I accidentally read this sequel first, and it was better than its prequel. The characters in this sequel start out with an established couple as its premise, and it's always refreshing to read about what happens after you confess. Both characters are very straightforward with their feelings and affections for one another. And despite misunderstandings, they are willing to communicate with each other and solve their problems. It's more mature in a sense and is what I think makes it a better read than its prequel. My biggest gripe I had about this was how it portrayed its side characters, however, and how

they were basically catalysts to the conflict and served no other purpose. One guy was out here skipping days of school just cuz he found out he had a crush on a guy who had a boyfriend. The high school gal out here going after her crush and not backing down when he repeatedly says no. Also, a discrepancy with the prequel is that Jigoo said that Junhyun was his first love in this story which contradicts his relationship with his tutor in the prequel in which he literally said and "there goes my first love" or something to that extent.
It's not a big deal overall but little details such as that and the changes in personality are what make the prequel and sequel seem like standalone stories. Even the art style is different in the sequel, because the lines and colors are cleaner.... Last updated on October 12th, 2019, 2:11am
