What a beautifull and different Sadako story.

Loved this manga. It is a crazy take "how would Sadako do in a post-apocalypse world", and it was done faithfull to the character and mantaining it's own tone of being equally melancholic and creepy. Sad, but also peacefull.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
In this empty dead world, the characters aren't afraid of dying anymore, but afraid of wasting their last days. Sadako giver their last days on earth meaning before killing them, without even knowing, and at the same time, she is on equal footing with everyone else, contemplating the idea of her soul finally dying with the last human and going into final rest. Just like no one she meets mind dying, she wishes her own death. She is a force of death, but in a reality that harsh, that kinds of make her a force of peace.

It is by far the most humanized Sadako I've ever seen, but she still is Sadako and is consistent with all other portrayals of the character in the movies.

I expected some cheap atempt to cash-in the character's popularity and was positively surprised.
