I loved the characters and the art. In this manga had those characters beautiful, snobby and with their problems. Murakami and Masaki were a couple until fluffy ... I understand what happened with the Murakami he came to be that way but gave much anger him especially when he was playing on another and speaking that Masaki belonged to him and he (Masaki) would not want anyone else ... Narumi i loved, the attitude was super nice ...

May be I'm too dumb, but I understood the plot from second reading.
What we have - two boys. One of them is beauty, but second is realy strong and smart.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
And before Keisuke was reaped, and may be this made him strange.
Also, I think that manga will be ended at 1 chapter, if Masaki said 'I love you, go out with me', but for him it was difficult and that's why we have another two a little stange chapters

is what i thought when i finished reading it... it wasnt that great...
AND i want to make something clear... something i dont consider a spoiler but it might be considered one so be careful lol ... is not the Seme the possessive lover, it was a bit surprising... imo. But good, i liked them both, but i couldnt accept Masaki's "indifference" but , you "understand" when he says why he is like that...
You can tell how old this is based on the art, i read it bcz of Super Lovers i cannot get enough of this manga so im trying to kill time before i get to read the update...
and SL is obviously better, better made, better art, but this is a good start, i finished it so its good, but i felt some inexperience(if i can call it that) in the story, how everything went was a bit meh, but i could still keep on reading, it was good! just nothing worth mentioning.

BTW i wouldnt call this "yaoi"

Not bad at all

Hmn well alot of people are saying this is confusing and point the blame at the characters - but i didn't find it confusing at all, and the characters have depth but not enough to confuse me.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Masaki is afraid of hurting Kei - so he's willing to give him up in order to make Kei happy - thats about as complex as he gets, true, hes an idiot for pushing that value too far and not seeing what Kei really wanted, but hey, these are meant to be teens, i remember as a teen i didn't have a clue about what others around me felt or thought, so you cant blame the guys in this being clueless to each others feelings. As for Kei, he's pushing Masaki, he wants to make him jealous, he wants to be possessed and given his mental trauma that understandable - he needs a sense of security and possessiveness - even mistreatment at the hands of a partner is acceptable for that. But Miaski doesen't see that or understand it, instead all he see's is Kei seeking the attention of others - and Misaki remains unphased because Kei's happiness outwighs everything else.

Anyway, emotions aside, this was a pretty good story. I like how it expresses emotion through the characters and that its realistic at times in the way Kei reacts - too often manga protray rape as something that can be forgotten quickly or ignored completely - but Kei's obvious emotional issues stem from that abuse and affect him in a fairly realistic sense. I liked that about this manga.

I didnt go so far as to cry but this story was touchy and showed the true trauma of rape and how one comes to heal from it.

I dont mind Keisukes arrogant attitude. Call me a mascohist, but i much rather those who were arrogant than those who are just nice to everyone.

This manga left me quite empty. I didn't really enjoy it in particular and I didn't directly hate it either. It was really just the minutes passing by? Maybe I've become immune to this kind of yaoi plot. And the art couldn't save it, since it was just mediocre 90s drawing style.

The characters were also quite extreme in an exasperating way. One a spoiled brat
Spoiler (highlight to view)
yeah even though he was RAPED, I still couldn't sympathize with him, since it was conveyed in a poor way
and the other was an ambivalent piece of cotton! Come on,
Spoiler (highlight to view)
"yeah just continue kissing with my boyfriend, it's fine!

That just pisses me in the wrong ear..or no.. wait, piss is negative in either ear.

I liked this mangaka's story, "Super Lovers" a bit and therefore thought the others would keep the standard. But no. Not a chance...

Confusing? Yes, Quite.

PLOT/STORY: In one word? Confusing. But it's not thanks to bad panelling or story-telling. Instead, the blame lies on the strange, ambiguous personalities of the main characters.

ART: The art itself is very aesthetically pleasing. The horrid drawback? The emotions are HORRIBLY done. While the mouths of characters change with their feelings, the manga-ka can't seem to get ahold of how to tamper with the correspondence of eyebrows to emotion. This is a major reason for why the story ends up so confusing, simply because you can't follow what any character is even feeling. All you have to go by is the dialogue, and the lack of emotion cuts its understandability in half.

CHARACTERS: Yet another bog of confusion emerges. While characters can be given some personality traits after reading the manga, the reader is left unsure of why everything happened. When paired with the lack of emotion shown through art, these confusing characters end up seeming flat and unrealistic. Even if you ignore Murakami, who is obviously not very emotional and can be considered to have a weird personality type, Masaki isn't much better. His image is strewn everywhere, beginning as a kind-hearted peer and becoming some emotionless, almost robotic being. If only Murakami did this (go from emotion to apathy), then maybe the story could salvaged somehow. With both main characters acting this way, however, the entire manga is thrown out of the loop. Luckily, the less-important characters seem to have normal personalities, and it's much easier to detect emotion in them than in the two main characters.

A final note? I think that this manga could have been much better. Only two touch-ups would have to be performed: a change to make faces/expressions more emotional/human (pair eyebrow movement with mouth movement), and a simplification of at least Masaki's personality to give more insight onto his choices (some character development would do wonders). But the lack of these things takes much away from this series, which is why I painfully gave it the rating that I did.
