VERY underdeveloped

The general plot (a guy suddenly finding himself with new family members and getting entangled into a romantic relationship with one or more of them) is so generic, that only very ddep characterization and plenty of plot could have saved it from being flat-out predictable and boring. Sadly, this manga delivers on neither point. Everything moves too fast, maybe not in terms of real time, but in terms of the reader's experience - at one point I found that 'a few months' had passed when I had had the impression that no more than a week had. The characters were stock stereotypes, and predictable ones at that (elite type love interests, 'kind' (and idiotic! So idiotic I want to punch him sometimes!) main character; very little effort was made to give them any depth. Nor was there much eye candy to distract the reader - the style is passable, but not really pretty. Given this kind of fast pacing and lack of development, one would expect lots of action, at the very least, but even that is nowhere to be found. In a word, this manga is bland to the extreme. There's nothing to be got out of reading it.

why did Yuuki like Gai so much? (spoiler) he had a girl friend most of the manga, literally until the last few pages, and he was cold most of the manga except the few times that he seemed to act kindly all of the sudden. why didnt Yuuki like Masumi who was so gentle and even willing to help Yuuki get with Gai? i dont get what was so likable about Gai. And Yuuki is so stupid, seriously in the beginning he gets really close to sleeping with Masumi and yet at the end he wants to have a brotherly relationship with him? whats wrong with him?
