Kazao is happy with his life on Mirai ("Future") Island. Sure, his parents abandoned him after he was born, leaving him to be raised at the orphanage-like facility, but his life is comfortable and has his friends, especially the lovely Eiko, the girl he loves. One night, however, he has a horrible nightmare where he sees himself die in a motorcycle accident. After that, everything changes. The next day, his parents are miraculously "found" and he is torn from his idyllic life and Eiko's side to be thrust into a world he knows only from television shows and school assignments. Dropped unceremoniously in the middle of a city with only a sketchy map for guidance, Kazao is saved from wandering aimlessly in search of his new home by the cute and forward Yuu, who turns out to be in his class at his new school as well. Despite his best efforts to accept his parents' sudden return and Yuu's friendly overtures, Kazao can't shake the feeling that things aren't quite right. Nor can he forget Eiko. Why did his parents wait sixteen years to call him back? And why is the piano the only used piece of furniture in his parents' new house? The mysteries begin to pile one atop the other as the lies fall apart in this intriguing story of future possibilities and innocent romance.

The manga could have been better but everything seemed a bit drawn out or simply not very thought out. Not too bad but not close to great, simply average in all aspects. If you're looking for a light romance type manga to pass a bit of time, give it a try.

For those comparing this to the Island, there are definitely similarities but the Island was a much better book and movie. Some may not know but the movie the Island is based off of Island by Aldous Huxley published in 1962. Sure, the plot is the same but the events of the stories differ widely in quality, drama, suspense and overall enjoyment. Don't try this manga if you thought the book or movie was good.

Ok technically this isnt a copy of The Island since that movie came out in 2005 nad this started in 2004. The Island was also a copy of another movie, Parts: The Clonus Horror, so wtvr. The art isntthat bad, but after knowing thist ,im not sure if I want to read this anymore

A badly-written, badly-drawn copy of the plot of several American movies, featuring an ugly, limp-wristed hero and two hideous girls who love him because the plot demands it. You won't lose anything by not reading this, to put it mildly.

@ ajmanga , i really agree with you ive seen the movie and there are are many similarities but with this manga im glad that they dont use the clones for stuff like back up organs and kill the clones if they wanted to

Other than that, i like this manga and hope that people pick up this project.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Definitely like "The Island" with the whole clones thing, how they live on the island, how they have doubles in the city, and when they leave they disappear and never come back. True, the art doesn't appeal to everyone but I didn't mind it. I thought it was an interesting plot with the whole thing being a conspiracy. But the group scanning it is dead and it might not be picked up again.
EDIT: even though animescans is dead, it seems that other groups picked up on it.

characters look like them in gacha gacha and here's a story included \ 0 /.
The plot is quite nice, so it makes it as a satisfying timewaster.
