When I dropped it there were only 4 chapters, it's now complete.
The story is about a forgotten island (there are bridges to it) in a postwar scenario. It's very lighthearted so it's almost a shounen rather than a seinen. The main character is supposed to be a waitress robot that was repurposed as a soldier, so most the story follows a pair of children that come from an underground shelter the robot fighting remnants and flashbacks with fragments of the past.
The story is based of a novel that goes for a bit more.
