I don't understand. Normally there will be building blocks for a girl to like MC but it's straight up like. The characters are flat af. Idk, but after reading "To Your Eternity".. this feels sucks.

In all honesty this is just an average quality work. However it shines in a way as it does not pretend be an outstanding manhwa. Plenty of manhwa/manga that are highly rated ended up being complete trash as their authors are trying to punch above their weight class. When you create such a good set up & anticipation only to fall flat on the delivery, that is much worse than just being an average manga. All too common example being authors creating complicated narrative only to use plot armor to burn it all down. It shows the clear deficiencies in the author's writing skills.

This manhwa avoids all that by just focusing on its strength of being an mediocre manhwa. That's the beauty of it.

The setting is of the generic reincarnation theme in a fantasy world. An overpowered mage discovers more powerful beings, dies and reincarnates to start a resistance. The plot itself is cliche with a linear storyline. Writing is middling at best and very straightforward plus author does not try for any complex narrative. The pacing is very fast, as events escalate quickly so this might turn into a short series that feels it got axed or an extremely long and tiring one. I guess my only complain in the narrative is the overly used prideful villain syndrome as plot armor to carry the main characters, where the antagonist has a lot of chances to kill the heroes but refuse to do it due to various stupid reasons; underestimating them, arrogance, ego etc.

Characters are run of the mill heroes and villains of the genre. Can't go wrong but also means there's nothing exceptional about them which is not a bad thing. Some manhwas have characters with good traits but end up being poorly written that they're unlikeable. Character development is somewhat lacking in this manhwa due to quick pacing of the narrative. It feels like the author is rushing through the arcs and neglecting character growth.

I personally like the art style and design. Its different from the typical korean manhwa and japanese anime/manga vibes, feels like its leaning towards western comics art style.

The battles and combat look good, maybe just a bit above average. Again, nothing impressive in terms of choreograph and eye candy but good enough.

As per the title, average across all boards and doesn't pretend to be triple A quality manhwa which is the beauty of it. Makes it an entertaining read at least.

Not very creative, but not horrible as well. Just above average. Actually has a somewhat interesting world and villain. Not amazing, but not bad.

Art is good. Characters are not bad. Very middling overall. To read if you are pretty bored and want something from this genre.

This review has been deleted a couple of times, so I'll keep it brief:
-plotholes everywhere. Why is the MC any different from others who failed? It would've been more interesting if, before coming back, he had known about those others.

Lazy, unoriginal plot; extremely generic in theme and the MC's approach.
-Too much comic relief.
-Too much comic relief.
-And lastly, too much comic relief.
I mean, it starts with his family, then half his subordinates, and all his ex-subordinates; it kills the mood at times (I'd go for specifics, but it's not the first time I write this).

The fight scenes suck pretty bad. The manhwa relies on not feeding the reader information constantly. Antagonists are strictly male, so the MC conveniently never has to confront a woman. This is a harem manhwa in disguise, with every woman the MC encounters (except for a single one) becoming interested in the MC. Of course, the way the manhwa leaves that shit unresolved is by making the MC the densest person on the planet, and the women, of course, never once take any actual initiative, as if bluntly telling the MC about their interest is taboo. They just bemoan how dense he is. Don't be deceived by his initial actions with the professor in the beginning. It's just meant for a laugh. That's the first and last time you will see him interested in a woman, so it's basically just bait. He's entirely asexual.

Average in all senses. It's pretty obvious that this manhwa is trying to make something decent from complete trash source material. You'll never turn shit into gold, though. At best, it'll be slightly less stinky shit.

i dont like the art much (although it is much better than some other things ive read. i think my main issue is the weird proportions) and there are a lot of aspects of the story that annoy me, but i still like it overall and i continue to read it. i guess its just that i have a hard time finding a story like this that I actually like, so despite the things that annoy me its still pretty enjoyable??

this reminds me of juvenile fantasy like the Wizard's First Rule books: I remember liking the series when I read them at first but now that I have some actual life experience and can recognize literally any other person than myself and my little group of pals as actual humans it's obviously utter garbage.

as of chapter 78 this is derivative escapist fantasy but at least it's not clearly the product of repeatedly consuming then regurgitating ayn rand's ordure.

Its like pokemon, the characters over explain situations and can't stop sucking off the main character... i would not mind this if it was a comedy and it did not take itself seriously but its not... it's cringe AF
