Well I really only continue reading this series anymore because I support the YuukiZero pairing with a passion. The plot is really a mystery to me. I've read it from the beginning and liked it before it got popular, and now when I read the chapters I'm like: "O_o What's going on with the pure bloods?" Yeah. Some stuff about pure bloods and councils and hunters. So I read it for the great love plot! XD And the artwork is amazing. So yup. Love plot = awesomeness. Other plot =Whaaa?

I agree with Karida. Now, it's just becoming a big mess. And good lord, this is a rival for that Gentlemen's Alliance manga in terms of useless characters and characters who look alike way too much.

Also, ever since the mangaka dropped that kind of relationship in the storyline, it has been such a turnoff for me. It's so casual, almost to the point of it being some sort of fanservice or something. With Koi Kaze and other mangas like that, I understand since it's the story itself but in Vampire Knight, it was completely out of place. Now, I am struggling through every chapter and just wanting to stab my eyes out. Hm, we'll see what happens.

This manga is one of the best mangas out there. The story is quite twisted and exciting. I cannot stop reading. I ended up rereading the manga over and over again... even though it's not even complete yet!!
The drawing is amazing as well--very detailed and nice.... (I can't really find a word to describe it..hehe)

Edit: Sigh. I'm on chapter 78 right now. And its been a long and tiring ride through the plot. It's complicated. The mystery is KILLING me. Right now it just seems to me that the lack of any 'come clean' whatsoever indicates that this story just seems to drag on and on. It's up to the point that I no longer enjoy reading it; it seems more of a chore than anything else now.

The art is still very beautiful; very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I don't have as nice saying about the color pages. But that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things anyways.
The characters have...not developed that much. Zero has gotten stronger emotionally and physically. Kaname has always been strong Yuuki's character lately (since she has reverted back to a vampire) has become a nuisance almost. She is helpless in things vampire-related. While it's nice that she maintains her humanity and compassion, personally at least I expected to see more of a development or some kind of acceptance of her vampiric side. She knows she can't do anything be her own but she doesn't seek to improve herself. She is static. She is whiner. She's all barks, and no bite. It's extremely irritating.

Despite the fact that I have been following this manga since it first released, I am not sure I will keep reading it....

I really like this manga. I stayed up till one in the morning to finish this series to chapter 40...my eyes were glued to the computer screen. Honestly I don't see what people see in Kuran he's mean and not really that attractive. Plus he's a know it all type. I don't like him and Yuki together--I really started to dislike Yuki after she ditched Zero to go off with her new vampire groupies. I don't think there's really that much love with Kuran and Yuki--I don't see it. With Zero and Yuki I see a lonely and sweet boy who needs TLC and I see a confused girl who needs it just as much. (Can you tell I love Zero)

The manga has beautiful, although very confusing artwork (everyone looks the same @-@) and an interesting plot and character developement. It gets a little confusing with all the characters and their oh so familiar faces. I'm putting this manga on hold for now because I didn't really like how it was turning...I'm probably going to wait a few more chapters or volumes until the story straightens itself out a bit, I don't really like those kinds of pairings too much, if you get what I mean...if not, read the latest chapter... -_-".

It's a great read and I'd recommend it but be forewarned for its confusing art style and a little confusing plot with some majorly wierd pairings...

I give it a 7 for now but it could probably bump up to an 9 or 10 if the mangaka can straighten some things out...

I LOVE Vampire Knight! XD The art is by the best art I've ever seen within manga. Its beautiful and ALL the characters are gorgeoussss! The plot/storyline is just right and so hard not to get into it. I'm obsessed with this. (And trust me, plenty of bishies...!) This is perfect for any shoujo fanatic! Maybe other fanatics as well haha. I totally recommend it if your into vampires and suspense, horror, and OMG let's not forget the romance! I'm always excited and jumping out of my seat when I see a new chapter! You need to read it yourself...GO! I'm sure you'll be very pleased!

It's an all honesty not confusing. Well maybe not all honesty (my sister was a little confused cause she's a tad bit slow and others seem to be confused? Vary rare though.) Anyways to my point, the artwork isn't to confusing either. If you understand Hino Matsuri artwork you'll see why. She has a certain why to draw faces but you can defiantly tell the difference always. It's beautiful.

I think people should just give it a try first and if you don't like it...continue reading it cause it gets better! Hahaha then if you don't like it still, well it's your choice then! ^_ ^Sorry for my persistence. I just think no one should miss out on this manga.

This manga has beautiful art, and had a good story plot in the beginning... but now it's sooo confusing!

I have to say, the idea of the premise didn't sound at all interesting when I first read it, I wasn't exactly hooked by the first chapter and the art style is a bit extravagant for my tastes... But this series got addictive fast.

This manga has a great plot and, even though I dropped the series, I still think it's good. However, the artwork is confusing as hell. It's gorgeous but everyone looks similar and there's so many charactes that by chapter 30 or so, I can't figure out who I'm looking at. Of course, that means I had a hard time following the story and I had to give up after awhile.

Starts with an intriguing first chapter. It kinds of make you wants to read more and more as the plot slowly reveals itself. The artwork is amazing and the characters are downright sexy so it makes you want attracted to the story. Mainly it's about a girl + a lot of sexy vampires. The plot even at volume 8 is not that clear yet, but obviously worth reading. Buy the manga to support the author!

Fast forward to 2011: suddenly the chapters are getting slow-paced, as if the mangka is dragging them out with pointless conversations and floaty gestures.



Sometimes I really don't see the point of reading this anymore. The mangka definitely has to speed-up the storyline or risk declining readership.

Fast forward to the ending:
OK I get that many people might find the ending a bit not akin to their tastes but somehow I felt it was totally apt and there was a sense of melancholy when I saw the final page. It was a beautiful ending to say the least and I'm glad that Hino Matsuri ended it that way. I wouldn't reveal anything to my best ability just that I would like everyone to read the ending and support it!
