Storyline was mediocre. Characters were a bit boring. Everyone had a one-track mind, which made them predictable. Pacing was good. Ending was okay.

This is the one isekai I've read where who they were in their past life is actually acknowledged very early on and made part of the plot. Very refreshing. What's also refreshing is that the characters communicate very well too - there aren't any silly misunderstandings and there isn't any drawn-out drama. The plot is all well-written and engaging, and the pacing is nice and steady too. While I wouldn't say it's the most original, it is unpredictable which makes it interesting and all the reveals throughout make sense.

While this story is more on the lighthearted side and doesn't delve too deep into any concepts, the author still does a good job of showing where each character's motivation comes from which then explains why they act the way they do.

There's lots of romance in the story - the lead characters express their love for each other fondly in every chapter. The overflow of sincere expression is really nice, IMO. That they trust one another and sincerely love one another is very heartwarming to see. It's also a source of character progression for the male lead, as he grows to be less possessive and more mature in love.

Biggest criticism for this story is probably that neither one of the leads has friends or a social life. There are a good cast of characters for the plot, and that's another plus. But, I personally like it when stories don't make the female and male leads each other's entire worlds, and this one does a bit.

Still giving this one a ten, because although it's not what I'd consider a masterpiece any means, if I want a solid lighthearted simple and straightforward shoujo with fantasy and romance this more than meets all expectations.

To address a review saying it'd be best for younger readers - I'm older than them so I think I actually passed on this one a couple times before because of it. There are a lot of shoujo scenarios I've outgrown, and while this was firmly in the shoujo category and I agree the characters you see at the beginning are the ones you get and they don't really get more complex or develop much more or anything, this story is still one that I was able to greatly enjoy. So, I'd still recommend giving the story a shot.

We all know them, those simpering, disposable slave types with no self respect that will shower a woman with gifts, and affection despite getting nothing in return. The type no women in reality gives two shits about. Our ML is that type. And I have to give this story a score over 7 because author still manages to make him likable despite working with such a dislikeable male trait. The story is sweet but each time it gets into sweet territory the author doesn't overdo it.

The plot and pacing is decent, although not the most original (I don't expect originality in this genre whatsover) it doesn't get tedious. The story is definitely above average and I would say a nice addition to your isekai library if you are looking for something light and uncomplicated to read.

When I started this I had low expectations, the fl was very one-dimensional, fangirling over the ml and not having any other personality traits. Then the story started to get compelling, especially at chapter 13, and it really picked up at chapter 19.
As the story progressed, along with the several good and unexpected twists, the fl became more interesting : a strong female lead, assertive and bold too. The ml was a bit endearing, and their chemistry rather good, they do make quite a badass couple. It wasn’t bad : the characters were more fleshed out than at the beginning, the plot better than expected, and the romance pure-hearted and sweet.

But idk something was off. The storytelling was lacking, and the whole thing seemed too shallow for me.
Tbh I just don’t think I’m the right demographic for this story. There were a few serious topics but the story didn’t get into them and remained very light-hearted. Same with the characters : despite their development they stay very one dimensional. The romance itself is very simple and superficial in the end.
I think this kind of story would suit younger readers better.

All in all it’s a good story, just not for people my age. I don’t plan to continue reading it but I think younger readers will have a really good time reading this.
