just overall lacked chemistry and I could not understand how/why the ML and 2nd ML suddenly started liking the FL. I mean there was more chemistry between and ML and 2nd ML with the ML being so obsessed with the 2nd ML’s cooking and all. Overall this relationship was just…bland and did not feel romantic at all.

the devil FL in this triangle - the queen had no initiative and resolve and basically went running to the devil ML (Azazel) every single freakin time she has a problem and needs help. She’s portrayed as being smarter and more loveable than the villainess devil Helena, but she just ends up relying on Azazel to solve all her problems, and even til the end I don’t ever see confirmation that she actually likes Azazel beyond just a friend. It felt all too much like she’s your typical innocent Shoujo FL whose problem basically all gets solved because a devoted ML likes her. I really really hate these types of FLs and hence, even though the queen is portrayed as a kind half-devil with great motherly love, I really could not bring myself to like her.
The devil ML Azazel, in hindsight, was almost an a**. He’s portrayed as someone hopelessly in love with the queen, who’d do and give everything for her happiness and a really tragic character. But then after he does all that and finally frees the queen and the baby from the king so that these two can happily live together, he felt that there was no place for him next to these two and then was unnecessarily just killed off at the very end…like wtf!!!!!
The villainess devil turned out to be the characters I was the most invested in for this entire work. I started out not liking her because yeah she was for sure evil like how devils are supposed to be, but one good thing about her was that she’s pretty straightforward in her objective, uses her head, took initiatives to achieve her goals, and didn’t try to rely on others like the queen always does. I also felt sorry for her that she actually liked the devil ML enough to bear his child for him but he basically slept with her to manipulate her into giving him her credentials, which he then used to help the queen’s baby. And her ending was really tough too, I mean yeah she became the new ruler of the devil world, but despite having been so obsessive over the devil ML before, she let him go to be with the ex-queen even though she already knew she was pregnant with his child and really wanted him to stay. (And of course the devil ML then sacrifices his life to protect the ex-queen and the villainess gives birth to their child with the dad already dead.) This ending made me so made wtf.
