Made me cry

The first story was the best. You really get a sense that the two main characters connect on a higher level than they realize and it makes you sad when you notice that they don't even know it. It was obvious that they loved each other.
The reason I cried is because I understand the girl. Kyouhei was the only reason she could handle the life she had with her mother and she couldn't even tell him that. It was overwhelming when he rejected her (though I understand his reasoning too. He didn't want to lose their friendship.) It was like that was the least straw for her.
I wasn't upset about his turnabout, it was clear that he was beginning to understand that he liked her, even after he found out about the abuse. I actually felt bad for him because he surely realized that he was the reason why she'd endured it all those years. T.T
Kinda wish it had gone on longer.

First of all, I love love love love and LOVE Sakurada Hina-san's art. It's stunning.
At the beginning of Hatsukoi ni Oboreta, I really liked it. There was something unique about it.
I loved the flashback when she was little and stuff.

the male lead had JUST NOTICED that she was abused. I was like WTH, now he wants her back. I wanted something better than " I totally didn't know you were abused, I'm sorry . I love you" kind of cliché.
But I guess I'll live with it.... Last updated on January 15th, 2011, 9:20pm

I enjoyed reading this manga, really, but I think that
Read it for the sake of it, but it's only the last couple pages that we find out what actually happens...though I think it's too sudden for us to get it fixed in our brains. Whatever. It's a good read, but not a think I'd necessarily recommend...

We didn't understand what the girl was at all in the beginning, since she was just acting as a spoiled brat. It wasn't until later that we figured out that she was abused, though I didn't think that should have affected the story much.
And that it isn't really possible that the boy (being her next-door neighbor since the last forever) wouldn't find out eventually. ...Maybe not, but we still didn't understand the girl enough to feel sorry for her (and actually find out that she's not JUST a spoiled brat). And the guy...jumped to conclusions too fast, I think... I like this mangaka's artwork. It's different, and that's a refreshing thing to see. However, I didn't really care for the characters in this one. The girl was a bit wishy-washy and the guy was WAY too pushy. The pushiness would be okay in some characters... but it seemed all wrong for this one. I just found myself rushing to get through this, so I could read something better. It wasn't awful, but it's not something I would recommend.
I really love this one

I thoroughly enjoyed this manga, alot of elements are a little rushed and thrown in there in a way to punish the male lead but his behaviour deserves a little punishment. Its a complex problem that must affect many childhood friendships that scary decisive change from friends to something more and both friends involved in this manga have deep underlying problems that they've pushed onto one and another and therefore need the other to "function", they've built this world of only them two and it works but when such a world is under threat it can only cause a moral dilemma. The art is stunning innovative and interesting, its almost like seeing a work of Ai Yazawa's Gokinjo Mongatari because of its pure uniqueness, I really want to see this Manga-ka flurish and get her stories on par with her art because then she will be formidable.

The plot's not bad, but it's a little jumpy. There are quite a few parts that are just smoothed over.
The art is what makes this manga worthwhile. Read it if only for that.
