Description

The downgrade in art was a bit hard to ignore, but the storytelling also suffered, and that is worse...
Ahh, leave it to Korean authors to do this.
It's a fairly good story, but the romance is kinda really bad. At least for the first season.
Sadly, the 2nd season feels so different, I'm wondering if they didn't swap authors as well as artists...
First off, the art is a preeeetty big downgrade. Usually, I don't mind as long as there's some semblance of likeness, but there was absolutely none here. And the new art is just worse overall. The romance somehow gets even worse and the story feels like the author started throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. Just a MASSIVE downgrade all across the board. Very sad. Especially because the overarching plot was fairly well done throughout the first season.

This is a mass revenge story that pays special attention to having a unique, tailored revenge for each person that wronged our heroine and hero. Despite that, the revenge plots lack intricacy or depth, and they always seem to work more or less perfectly so there is no sense of danger or risk of failure.
The hero's tragic backstory and reasons for revenge are more unique and interesting than the heroines, which are uninspired. I was invested in his family relations for a time, but we didn't get into the meat of them until the end of season 1. And then...
Unfortunately, the series changed artists for season 2. I do not like to rag on art that someone has probably worked a long time on... but I do. not. like. it. It's weirdly round, stiff, and soulless, and not just a step down from the average art before, but 100 steps down. This alone was what made me drop the series even though it's on a cheap site like manta.

It has so much potential as the story goes on and starts but the execution is just slightly off. The pacing of the story feels slow and the information presented at one time is often overwhelming and distracting from the plot of the story.
I would recommend skipping a few chapters here or there but honestly it doesn’t get much better.
