This is written much better than most manhwas, the characters are complex, their interactions are complex. There is a single coherent storyline that progresses, not what seem like multiple random encounters.

It isn't perfect, but it is miles ahead of much of the competition. The story deals with difficult issues and how trauma affects people.

The art is pretty good, not quite among the best, but still top tier.

Even the translation is quite good. I think it is weak in some parts, but one could tell only because the dialogue and story are of sufficient depth and complexity.

And the ending is

This was an interesting and very different read from the webcomics/manhwa I'm used to. The leads and plotline were intriguing and shrouded in mystery. You dont quite know where the lies start or ends till the end. Given the circumstances of the leads and the plot, the ending was as good as it could get. A few points down because the whole story took place on a ship and supposedly happened over a span of a few weeks. This made the story feel slow and repetitive.

Pretty sgitty manhwa.
A M ML who is mentally ill.
A narcissistic FL who is a compulsive lair.
I say that coz how the ending and story is...

I love that the ML, being a prominent soldier during war, is shown to suffer the consequences of that life. He has PTSD, he feels out of place, he mentally can't be a soldier anymore. He's lonely because while the public glorifies his accomplishments as a soldier, he's silent about the burden of that weighing him down. No one that praises him could ever know or understand what he experienced. He's drawn to the FL because he sees that she is the same, but the converse. She is publicly vilified and similarly isolated, except that she does not feel burdened by her actions. She remains true to herself, and confident, which only seems to increase the antagonism against her.

The story is interesting. Their relationship is interesting. Their flashbacks are interesting.
Yes, the pacing might be slow like it has probably only been less than a month within those 70 chapters so far , but I just love how they become close in their own ways.
I root for their happy ending, but I'm not sure if it goes that way with the current situation.
I wonder how this will go.

Love the art from Charlotte's Letter. The storytelling is something I admire too.

this manhwa has such realistic portrayals of hard-to-hit topics, and u should defo read it hahaha

fl's actions are all so raw because everything she's done up to this point has been to survive--though for what is up to you to figure out and the author to reveal. Also she and ml are both complete messes. War does shit

Sometimes, i feel its slow and sometimes I can only hope that in the end the FL wins. There are some nice parallels between both the ML and FL traumas and upbringings though they differ radically in the worlds they know and grew up in.

There are some elements in the story that I find slightly problematic but I liked it nonetheless. Its enjoyable.
