Alltogether very very sweet stories and definately worth the read! The art is great, like always. These stories have everything you could wish for! The first is cute but also has a pretty serious side to it and hurt feelings, even though it all has a feel good ending. The 3rd chapter story "Something Secret" is just awesome! You won't see it coming! The story after that is also just so funny!
Great collection of oneshots!
HAHAHA, the last story...
Oh, gosh, the last story made me laugh so hard. It's like sadism-masochism done is a reallllly funny way XD The rest of the stories were really good, too. I just love Takanaga Hinako's art! Also, the characters were all very cute, and the stories were, too. I really liked it
Spoilers! trying to give an unbiased review
I'm always one to pick up Hinako Takanaga's works because I always find that they cheer me up when I have a bad day, this story was also released in the same year as The Tyrant that falls in love which was made into an anime adaptation and plenty of others that was even given a CD drama to boot.
beyond this point is spoilers

Like all of her ukes and semes, I feel that sometimes she's using the same character designs but I'm not going to go in to that. The first two stories are about Shingo and his childhood friend Kouji, Kouji being the typical seme that is not only good with his grades but an incredible athlete (like all impressive goodlooking popular semes are) but he has to be for this story to work so well, Shingo has a thing for impressive guys, he not only likes Kouji but he likes his older cousin who (shockingly) is also an impressive guy but when Shingo realises that his cousin was getting married he's a little bit down and this was the part that got me a little bit confused, not the part that it was obvious that Kouji liked Shingo MORE than a friend but also after forcng himself on Shingo (Even though giving us a breath-taking love scene <3) but for Shingo to act almost a little bit too okay with it, I don't think if someone got raped by their childhood friend that they would act like that the time before! The only reaction that seems to be NORMAL is the fact that Kouji regrets it and apologises. But for the sake of this story that has a little bit of comedy it surprisingly works and not only that but Shingo realises that Kouji has been in love with the former for ten years and also Shingo realises that Kouji has a different side to him (Apparently not only s Kouji impressive but also cute)
The second story is a continuation of the first, where as Kouji is actually showing worry that they may never act the same way as they did before, not only does Shingo act as if everything was normal (lets face it, it's not normal) but he also becomes very clingy to Kouji (the reason for this is so that Shingo can see Kouji's CUTE face and I also go "Aw" whenever he blushes) and of course Kouji begins to worry about this development and then causes a misunderstanding between the two, Kouji thinking that Shingo is playing with him, later when Kouji is at home Shingo comes over and clears the air so to speak, although Kouji does get a little bit angry when Shingo doesn't seem to be denying giving Kouji a kiss and after getting hit by Shingo the two of them reconcile their feelings and rewarding us with another love scene. The second story I thought was cute and adorable but also I thought would be pretty unlikely if this happened in real school life but it works surprisingly.
The third chapter is another continuation of the first two, giving us another lovely love scene but also showing us how Shingo can ruin the mood and be a little bit naive at what effect he can put on Kouji especially when he's about to make something for them to eat NAKED! Of course Kouji's attempt to make Shingo wear something like his shirt (the cliche over sized shirt on your lover, simple but effective and in this case succeeds) giving us another love scene and apparently Shingo has a lot of energy to spare.
the rest of the story has an interesting array of stories with some nice artwork and a enjoyable sweet story of how childhood friends can become lovers (even though how that happens seems to be a little confusing) but other than that Hinako Takanaga has another nice boys love story to add to her collection and one that I am adding in mine because I like cute characters.

xD Well what to say. The first (main) story amused me because the uke turns out to be the one in control despite what happened haha. The second story amuses me in an altogether different way but is still quite good. The art isn't too bad either, i found it amusing how the expressions turned out sometimes. The characters themselves are cute too. I guess its a cute and funny manga overall so i'm giving this 8/10
Funny and Serious Strangely Working (most of the time)
The main story was quirky, fast-paced and a page-turner. It had a quick taste of all the elements I like: non-con, a losing control seme, and a ridiculously naieve, good-natured uke. This mangaka always keeps it surprisingly light and witty without losing the tension of the story or becoming too silly or baseless that I was no longer interested. With Something Secret, the balance didn't work for me: The 'funny' ending in the last 1/4 of the story was a unlikeable surprise after experiencing the first 3/4 of the story in (excellently dramatic and HOT!) serious mode. I'll grant that it did mimic real life though, in the sense that we work ourselves into a tizzy (uke) or deny ourselves uncessarily (seme) with assumptions on both sides. It wasn't to my preference though. Suggestion For A Tsubo Jar was a humourous highlight for this anthology because it worked. The story never put on the premise of seriousness, so I didn't expect it; therefore, I wasn't disappointed like I was in Secret. This one is littered with awesome oneliners. Obviously this Sensei eats densefruit-i-oos for breakfast every morning. Freaking Funny. I didn't know watching someone taste test could be such an immediate, erogenous viewing experience, resulting in (sadly never illustrated, but I'm sure it was there) immediate rush of rock-hard hard-ons! Meaning flowers while he bit in to the SPRING ROLL? *gurgling with laughter still*. IT had a rooting/grounding element too with: "Kunuki's desire is looking for a direction to run." (What about a normal 'confession?' Nah, too easy.) The art was competent, expressive and told the story effectively, but not outstandingly. Takanaga-sensei certainly does excel at drawing guilty faces and faces of supremely obtuse food samplers that are being perv'd on.
Well, that was cute. Simple, and cute.
Silly characters are always good for laughs.
Good thing Takanaga sensei doesn't draw hair like that anymore. The art was nice. Not as good as her newer works, but still cute.
I liked the fetish guy from the oneshot chapter .^^
Yai! It got licensed....
I am happy Blu decided to pick this one up and bring it to an American audience, Hinako Takanaga's works are some of my favs, and I'm author-loyal! This story, thanks to the wonderful people of mochi-mochi, has already been read many times over, and owning a hard copy is just the best. The plot is not too complicated, boy likes successful people, boy's best friend has a monster crush on him and decides to "make" him his. Boy then realizes that his best friend is pretty interesting and popular himself, gives him a chance, and develops romantic feelings for him; best friend is at a loss of why boy likes him and insecurities come to light. Overall, it is a very straight forward and formulaic plot, but if you are a fan of Takanaga-sensei, then this is a must have. Since this is a one volume deal, don't expect too much character development, instead, just enjoy the story and have fun with it, since that's all its meant to do for you.
