Description

Every night, Hong Yushin is tormented by vivid dreams in which he is assaulted by a mysterious monster. As the effects of the recurring nightmares begin to bleed into his waking life, leaving him overwhelmed with frustration and unable to function, a man named Yeom Ju-eon appears—claiming to be an exorcist. Surprisingly poignant

I started reading what I thought was going to be a pornhwa. Unexpectedly, it turned out to have haunting depth.

Unlike the other readers who want an epilogue back in the present after the reveal of their past lives, I actually like that it ended on the note it did. It gave it gravitas.

Lastly, the artwork was much better than the "cover" image suggested. Usually, it's the other way around, so I was pleasantly surprised.

As always I wish it was longer but it was cool either way! The past life story was also interesting but I feel like the villagers should have suffered way more.

snake and nightmares, one mysterious character with hidden intentions

A story intended to be 5 chapters initially, but expanded to be 12 chapters and 5 side stories.

I liked the art, the character designs and the mysterious plot. It was not a perfect work but

I really enjoyed it and was intrigued by the mystery of the snake ghost and the mysterious black haired guy who offered to help the main character.

The only critiques I can say about this story is that it was way too short for having a deeper core plot. The core relationship of the two was hinted at super early in the story, and

their past was so sad. The big reveal and the main character finding out/realizing fell a bit flat and so did the ending and lack of an aftermath/epilogue. Would have loved more chapters of their everyday life now that they found each other again.... instead of such a sad backstory as the 5 sidestories. Actually, another minor critique is that I wish we had gotten an epilogue/glimpse back into the current future AFTER the sad sidestories. That I think would have actually maybe wrapped up the series on a more lighter note. Because yes, we DO know that they do find each other after being reincarnated in the future, but ending the side stories on such a sad note.....was a choice.

To be fair it was the authors first work, and the author acknowledged their shortcomings regarding this work which was initially suppose to be just 5 chapters. So for the most part an actual job well done as a debut work!
