Never really like shota but...

I don't usually read shota or like it if I've for some reason been tricked into reading it. I was mostly attracted by the art here, and it was very pretty, but there was at least one good point to this besides the artwork as well.

The one thing I kinda liked was that this wasn't a story about a man violating an ignorant and naïve, innocent boy but the initiative came from the twins. That, however, also made it rather unrealistic. Children are really curious it's true and that goes for sex as well but no kid is that lusty... The sex was over the top and with the toys and everything? Bleh.

Another thing seriously disturbing about it was how really young they were. Shota basically deals with under-age boys but these kids were really small. Not just barely under 18 years of age but like five year olds tops!

Also the fact that the guy was their sister's boyfriend is pretty irritating. I mean, preying on your girl friend's kid brothers? No morals, even if the jail-bait twins initially came on to him. And cheating on your girl friend too! The only ameliorating feature was that...well...wouldn't wanna spoil the ending. And I'm not too sure it was a happy one either!?

Well there were too many issues with this for me to rate this any higher than 4/10. It could have been done much better but people who do enjoy shota will definitely enjoy this. The only shota yaoi I've ever actually liked, now that I think about it, would be Super Lovers. The only one.

I think my mind just got raped (not a yaoi fan).....x-x omg
...... But...... yeah! The art was very pretty! just the story....disturbing. If you're a strong yaoi fan and like really little boys, then you might like this one, though. (I didn't like it as much, because the shota characters seem too young, - about 4 years old, max? Cannot tell.) Like I said, the art for the little boys is very pretty and cute, though.

Nichijou no shotakon

One could say I'm a connaisseur of shotacon, which you may believe a dubious distinction, but it enables me to distinguish smut from truly beautiful art. "Jack in the Box" definitely falls closer to the latter than the former, though any shotacon comic, by its very nature, will have elements of both.

Children--most humans--are naturally curious about the unexplored aspects of life, which gives credence to "Jack in the Box". Fantasy is based in reality, and the reality which grounds "Jack in the Box" is one of curiosity combining with awakening adolescence. Because it is based more in reality, the fantasy is that much stronger. To make "Jack in the Box" even more likable, the story is not one where shota characters are taken advantage of by their dirty ojisan or oniichan, but instead the twin boys actively seduce their older sister's boyfriend. This theme of shota as pursuer is seen elsewhere only (to my knowledge) in Miroku Kotoko's Koibito wa Suiito Rabi.

I don't read shotacon often, but I really LOVED this one. Definetly something you should read when a big yaoi fan!
