Yuki Kaori at her best. Her visual style is elegant and precise here, and the story has the trademark dark, twisted, and dramatic fantasy plot, yet it's presented much more clearly than in some of her earlier works.
And there is actually a bit of romance (the last chapter confirms it ^__^ I've read the French licensed version which has all five volumes released by now), but yes, it's very subtle. This is definitely not a typical shoujo romance manga. It's heavy on plot, action, and mystery instead. It's also very original. Bet you've never seen such elegant zombies before.

not the best of kaori yuki's works, its starting to get boring, i just wish that eleis would grow up..
there seems to be no goal for the characters, which is annoying.
good art but i'd say give this a skip. actually, the art is somehow worse than her previous works(ludwig kakumei, angel sanctuary).

there is no romance in this. absolutely none. unless you look insanely hard. but that's even a stretch.

I know it's still early to comment on the manga but so far, Kaori's first two chappie gave a pretty good first impression on me.

If you're looking for Medieval-like/Victorian-Era "ZOMBIES", Murderous travelling troop..Bishies....wonderful art..and THE "KAORI YUKI" vibe..then you came to the right place!
