I'm a veteran fan of Fuyumi Souryo's work. This is probably her first manga that I read in the '90s and the way it ends up a tragedy or a joy? is really unforgettable. Souryo's art was in a transition stage from the '80s to the '90s which I've personally considered her art style the best so far. The storytelling was also very original for the 1990s shoujo. I was moved so much back then and I still love it even reading for the 100th time.

Ps. The cover image shown here is of the newest version release in 2000, which has nothing to do with the story.

It's very hokey and boring. I couldn't even bothered finishing the first chapter; though, I did skimmed the next two chapters to see if the author would continue her apathetic melodrama.

Another series into the unfinished list.

Another winning romance by the reigning queen of winning romances, Souryo Fuyumi.
The situation is admittedly ridiculous, but because this is Souryo, it feels very real.
All the characters are likeable, so that when the ending comes, despite how predictable and contrived it might seem otherwise, it hits hard.

I did love this story, but I keep forgetting about it.

It's definitely not the average shoujo. Okay, so there are a few cliched elements(ie. the rock star character, the poor, average girl, and something in the way), but it's not easy making something entirely original.

I agree with mydisguise; the plot is best left as is, because this manga is something special.

:'[ It's too bad there aren't more people reading this. It's great, and I recommend it to anyone who wants a angsty, but deep romance story.

i loved this story so much. the ending... well, it made me cry. with happiness or sadness i dont know haha.

i think its better the storyline remains unexplained, just read the manga and find out for yourself.

Edit: Also, if you like this, read Taiyou no Ichiwaru by the same author, the title story is only one chapter but it really got me biggrin
