I have been reading this for a while
Ever since it got licensed the releases seem to have gotten slower. This is probably my favorite shounen-ai! Typically I do not like the bully seme stereotype, because you cannot really tell if they actually like their partner. I was pleasantly surprised with Sato. He genuinely seems to care about Yoshida and his teasing actually seems playful instead of downright cruel. I am very happy I found this manga and I am glad it is still ongoing. I only read a few of Tanaka Suzuki's work and loved those as well. I hope to see more of her work!
So, So Good
SIGH. I just wished that the Yaoi genre had more of this sort as opposed to the heavy, violent, rated, angsty stuff. This is a prime example of a good, fluffy high school Yaoi manga meant for starters. It'll just keep you plunged into the Yaoi genre for a good long while just so you could find more just like this series which is kind of difficult to find (given that it has good art and good plot like this one). This manga is THAT GOOD. PLUS, this manga has that so-called 'good looking, capable seme' paired with 'weird/plain looking straight-ish uke' dynamic which is a total bonus for Yaoi readers because it's hella duper cute and humans worldwide are on a witch hunt for this kind of treasure trove (okay, I exaggerate but this is exactly what fujoshis and fudanshis alike thirst for, check forums). So, if you think you're a greenhorn and really can't handle boy x boy, give this one a good, long try. It's really good. The only stint there is to this manga would be it's painfully slow updates. The wait makes you think that it's discontinued. Which is very sad.

Continue it, please!!
This manga is just so beautiful. I'm in love with Yoshida. He is very interesting! Each of his activity is so attractive, so is his blushing face!! He is the ideal uke <33 I also love Satou's sadistic side! It's freaking hot! Ugh, I've always wanted an overprotective/sadistic/psycho boyfriend~ Anyway, let's not get in my topic. The art is actually enjoyable. Yes, at first, it is indeed a bit hard to get used with the art, aka. "Yoshida's ugly face". But if you can just read 1/2 chapters, you'll definitely get used to it. Perhaps you'll start loving it, just like me!! I'm waiting for it to update!
At first I was like "Meh, the art isn't good, especially Yoshida, he is truly UGLY." but soon...it just..appeared to be more cute and cuter by the chapters. I really didn't realize how cute Yoshida's blushes looked like!! I'm just in love with this manga!
Just finished reading 7th volume
A new character was introduced and I think to myself: "okay.... so that means at least 2-3 more volumes. WHY Lord, oh why!?" I want the series to finish already! Don't get me wrong, I luv it! I enjoy it! that's shounen-ai/school life at its best. But the anticipation for a new release is killing me.
Charming, adorable, funny, cute... This manga is exactly what I look for in a shounen-ai. Yoshida is the cutest uke ever, and his blushes are adorable. I also loved Satou as the seme: he doesn't really take himself that seriously at points, which I thought was nice, and realistic. The art wasn't my favourite at the start, but I grew to love it: I think the mangaka is a bit of a genius at the portrayal of the relationship between the two and the thoughts and situations they go through.
I also loved the side characters (all of them). One of my favourite points was when it flashed back to Satou's past in the 'English school': I thought that was kinda cool, and gave depth and added perspective to his character The girls were also very funny.
Altogether a lovely shounen-ai, with comedy and a great couple that don't always take themselves that seriously. I don't recommend reading in one-sitting, as the story is very long with relatively little development, but it is definitely one of my favourites, and will be highlighted in such in my very long list of 'read' manga's.

Still a long way to go..
Aitsu no Daihomei... This manga is so fun, though the word 'fun' doesn't seem enough. It's hilarious and entertaining and refreshing. This is what comedy really is.
As for the art, it's detailed, clean, and clear. You can figure every character's emotion out easily. I also like the fact that this isn't some kind of manga where girls aren't allowed or doesn't even exist. For me, BL with an adequate existences of women adds the spices of the plot. Good thing Tanaka - sensei doesn't seem to have a problem having them in a story, unlike some mangaka.
The plot and the characters, though, seemed to be clichéd for 'the ugly, unpopular guy, beautiful, handsome prince and batallion of cheeky fangirls', have been developed into something sensible and interesting one. It doesn't actually revolves on the relationship of the two, but also on how they deal with the things bothering inside them - the constant bullying, the way people look at them, be it as 'monkey-looking' or the 'popular' one, and understanding their own feelings towards the other. What's so disturbing for me is that the discrimation about Yoshida and his other 'ugly' friends. It's too much that I ended up somewhat irritated for Yoshida since he doesn't do anything, although he can't actually anything about his face. But he's so manly and gentleman at some point, that I can't help it but pity him. That must be horrible, so I thought. The sadistic part of Satou as well, it's too much but somehow, it can made Yoshido more likeable. And it's also understandable because of what he has been through. But Yoshida is still the stronger one and that's his good points. But for all those mean girls, I wanna beat them to pulp. But since it's still ongoing I want Yoshida saying 'I may be ugly but I'm not ashamed of myself!' or something like that.
But it is still a long way to go.
I like the 'sadist' part
Contrary to what some reviewers seem to feel, I very much enjoy Satou's sadistic/bully - behaviour. It's the main point of the story after all. Of course, in real life, nobody would put up with his sh*t more than 2 minutes, but in the manga, it's very well used to heat up the atmosphere and create titillating situations. ;D So, I enjoy this manga a lot, but I feel it's been dragging lately. The beginning was pretty fast (with Satou

jerking off Yoshida
in the first volume, if I'm not mistaken) and I liked this pacing, it was pretty refreshing (with the kind of 'pure' uke that Yoshida is, I mean). So I'm a bit disappointed that there hasn't been any action lately. Instead they've given us a really weird-ass backstory for Satou -- What's with his weird middle school, really? I can't see any really interesting plot coming out of that. But well, I'll wait and see, and hope for a return to the original sexy atmosphere...

I must be crazy....
There are SO many unlikable characters in this series! Yoshida is cute and quite a good person, but Satou is completely intolerable to me, as are most of the other characters. The girls are terrible too. Why so many irritating people? It definitely made this less enjoyable. Aside from that, I have only found it mildly amusing and I can't connect with it emotionally. I Have, however, become somewhat attached to Yoshida and actually care what happens to him, so it can't be completely without merit. I wish there were more development. As it stands, not much has changed since the first several chapters, aside from Yoshida being somewhat less shocked/embarrassed all the time. We've learned a bit of Satou's back story, but it was weird and nonsensical in a lot of ways, so it feels disconnected from the rest of the story. I'm not sure what I'm missing or if it's just my age showing.
Really really cute.
Really, I could read this one over and over and over again. It's hilarious, and the characters are amazing. The story is a fantastic read with a mix of light and heavy moments. And parts like Satou's back story which could have turned into melodramatic messes are handled with care.
While Yoshida and Satou do follow up to a certain extent the old stereotypical BL couple with the seme being amazing at everything and with the uke being completely weak, I think their personalities makes them stand out amidst other BL crap. I completely love how Yoshida isn't the usual whiny uke who can't deal with his very dominant seme, and Satou has a very dominant personality. Yoshida is adorable as other reviewers have stated, and while some may have trouble with Satou's sadism, I think that it's fairly toned down compared to other sadists in yaoi. I don't think Satou would ever hurt Yoshida in a horrible way or humiliate him. There's very little angst, as Yoshida accepts that he is in a relationship and doesn't sit around, cry, and push back Satou's advances like many of the irritating ukes in BL do. You can tell they're very much in love with each other. It's a heart-warming relationship to me.
The story itself is episodic, but within each episode you get character development and some lovely Yoshida x Satou (keep in mind this is shounen-ai so don't expect anything too explicit). Tanaka Suzuki is one of the few BL authors I've read who is amazing at comedy and is pretty good at drama. AnD is a very funny read, and can be touching at times.
Overall, one of the best shounen-ai I've read, with great characters, lovely relationships, and a very funny story. While I had read some shounen-ai before like Seven Days, this one was really the one that got me onto the BL boat. Also, see if you can listen to the drama cd's - they're really well done.
