Forgettable (pun not intended)

I read this for the secondtime today and realised that I have read it but I've forgotten most of it. It's not a very memorable read.... I also dislike the art because I think the way it portrays emotion is rather stiff and wrong at times. I like the way Dago cries because it's so emotionless but it gets described as heartwrenchingly sad which it isn't. I like the idea but the plot is rather all over the place and messy... So only slightly above average.
An excellent read.

I love this mangaka. Her works are fun to read. This series isn't an exception, the plot is unique, the chemistry is there, not to mention the fact that the romance develops sweetly. Despite the amnesia cliche, I loved this series.
okay...

I wonder why Dear Myself instead of just Daigo. Seriously, it would've been much more accurate. You can hardly care about Hirofumi and his memory, or lack thereof. Daigo's storyline was much more interesting, even if in potential only. Indeed, the whole plot was poorly executed. It start off in the wrong place, it focused on all the wrong moments, the storytelling rushed in and out of things without digging in the surface... I didn't particularly enjoyed because of that. But the concept itself was interesting. I would love to know more about Daigo and Akihito's relationship (I liked the idea of the unsociable uncle and nephew, outcasts in exile sort of) and I think the whole deal between Daigo and Hirofumi was just badly explained - so more of that would certainly be welcome. Overall it was an okay read but nothing outstanding or anything. And if you're looking for a real psychological manga, this is probably not it: forced drama, poor development, and really - how can we deeply care about these characters' miseries if Hirofumi's own mother and sister act as though that was nothing but lovers quarrelling? Either they are totally oblivious to the seriousness of their relationship (which is faulty) or they just don't take them seriously enough.

i'm giving it a 10 because the plot was clever and new to me. i found it really refreshing and different from other yaoi manga i've read though there are still many cliche themes in it. i also didn't mind the gaps in the story-telling, the whole manga was focused on the couple's love story so other details were ommited and I didn't mind that at all.
you got to love the main couple! <3

The story was completely new to me (I've never seen anything like it, except one of my own stories when I haven't even hear of this manga xD), so it was definitely a good - but predictable, of course - plot.
I adore Hirofumi's personality (when he gets his memory back, not the gentle and fragile one), but Daigo's kinda whiny for a seme...that's probably because they don't seem much like seme and uke except in bed.
It is indeed very emotional and touched me deeply, although for me it was't as angsty as it looks like it should be.
As for the art work...I'm sorry, but I can't like Eiki Eiki's style no matter what. I think they're faces are SO childish, it kinda turns me off...
Over all, it was very cute, but too much cliché, so I don't think this will be remarkable or one of my favorites...
PS: Why would Eiki Eiki give her brother's name to her gay character?! Ahahahah xD (for those who don't know, she is Daigo Stardust's older sister)

I've read it so many times I've lost count Very touching story worth the money you have to pay for it Can't wait to read the sequel~
Really, Hirofumi should be happy to have such a good seme! Daigo at his worst is a little forceful, but when it comes down to it, he's very sweet and gentle with him.

This is one of my favorites... it's so sweet! Not only is the the art very beautiful but there is a great storyline. Basically it's about a sixteen year old boy who wakes up to discover that his memory from the last two years is gone. In exchange, his memory from the previous fourteen years is returned, which were gone due to an accident, and he discovers that he is dating another guy called Daigo. There are definately some funny moments when Hirofumi tries to keep his distance at first (cos he does NOT want to be gay), but discovers he loves Daigo to much to keep his distance. Eiki Eiki is one of my favorite aritists, so this is definately worth a read!
