Rest in Peace Cocoa Fujiwara
Inu x Boku is very much a lovey-dovey shoujo manga for the first half of the story. The ML is literally obsessed with the FL and all their interactions show this. The second half of the manga is a lot darker/sadder(?) than the first half and the sudden change is pretty heavy (and confusing at first). The anime doesn’t include any of the heavier aspects of the manga.
Love the art and Karuta’s my fav

As someone who saw the anime first and then the manga, I thought the anime sometimes was too simple but still fun to watch, so then I decided to read the manga expecting the same but oh boy, so many interesting things happened, my mind was literally exploding while I kept reading more chapters, it even made me cry?!
Is it worth reading? Totally! The ending is so diffrent from what a person expects and really dissimilar from the animes ending, sadly I think the only problem with the manga was the lack of character development except from the two main characters, which doesn't ruin the story much, but makes you wanting more, but still as I said before, it's worth reading.

I started this by watching the anime when it came out, it was so good that I made myself wait till this got completely scanlated and it was totally worth it.
Most of the Shounen anime that ends with the manga continuing, makes me curious how the story ends that's why I switch later to the manga. Lately the majority of Shounen that gets good anime adaptation and ends in cliffhanger, the rest of story goes to sh*t in the manga(like *cough* Naruto, Bleach *cough* for example but there are more).
So if you are worried that the manga might ruin the good expectations you have from the anime, you sure don't have to worry. The story diverges from the end of the anime and continues, in a subtle complex way so you'll definitely won't be disappointed by it. The only question you'll be asking at the end is, how come a mangaka sick in her last years of her life could wright/draw such a good manga and keep the story consistent and coherent from start to finish. It puts to shame all the other mangakas that started their mangas awesome and ruined them at the end for stupid reasons.

At first I just read this manga because the clean drawing and the story is nice enough, but as the chapters go, I came to love this manga. The characters are interesting, the humor is just good, and the story its self is amazing. The far I go with this manga, the more I realize that the plot thickened. I don't really mind by the slow pace the author bring the characters and the story, but I do have problem with waiting the next chapter finish being scanlated (have to thank the group very much for scanlating this manga).

It's funny...

...that people are debating the shonen/shoujo qualities. Generally one would say it is the magazine itself that determines if it is one or the other. If it is unisex...look for the eye candy shots. Since it is square Enix, they are banking on both, but with a higher demographic of guys. Hence the character designs are to please both... bishounens/shoujo all around, and with enough (subtle) ecchi type illustrations/shots.

Completely better than I thought

The first few chapters are kinda happy go lucky, but as you get into the other volumes, a better more thrilling plot builds. Not going to give a lot of spoilers, but I just love this manga. Hopefully there will be more releases soon.

I could never imagine what was going on with the Mangaka while the second half was under process... but I know that this part of the manga gives off one particular feel to it : the pressure of accepting the ugly side of reality. Though I became depressed after reading the second half, I shall continue to look forward to the Mangaka's next move for the manga because I am a big fan of Miketsukami x Riricho. Ganbatte!

Shoujo/Shounen debate

Of course it's shoujo. So many aspects of it fit that demographic, and yet it also fits the shounen category. There are manga like that already. 1/2 Prince is one. Basara doesn't even attempt the shounen title but it's a story about war with a romantic subplot. Please don't assume that all shoujo are the same. This story explores the main couple's romance without the added melodrama of excessive contention towards their being together. But we see the progression and adequate attention is payed to the build up that we do get that shoujo vibe.
The action was segued by stories featuring the side characters and shifting the attention from the main couple to the lives off all the tenants. I understand wanting to know more about the side characters as they're all so interesting, but I don't feel that the author ignores them at all. Wanting to know more about interesting characters is natural and it's the author's job to make us feel that way. I don't think it's a bad thing.
