The ghost and his wife had a bittersweet second-chance love story. Our actual MC just sort of...reaps the benefits, lol.

At first I liked the premise. A guy falls for a widow, but has to deal with the problem of being able to see her dead husband's spirit who can't move on and there in lies the problem.
This could have been really good, but it spends way too much time on the dead husband when it should have focused on the widow and main guy.

Once the dead husband realizes that he can take over the body of the main guy, he spends most of the time in the body wooing his wife while there is nothing the main guy can do about it. The main guy doesn't get to experience his first kiss or first sex with her because the husband is in control of his body. At the end, when the widow finds out that the dead husband is in the main guy's body, she claims that she's fallen for the main guy. The problem is right after that, she's willing to commit suicide to be with her dead husband. The dead husband wants her to live and leaves the main guy's body. The main guy and widow then profess their love for each other and then it time skips to the main guy's death. He and the widow had a daughter and lived a long and happy life. Then it shows their grandchild who then runs into the dead husband who for some reason hasn't moved on. The main guy and widow who are both dead moved on, so why didn't the husband?
This could have been really good, but it spends way too much time on the dead husband when it should have focused on the widow and main guy.
It gives off the sad atmosphere.
I've read 20 chapters only and Rokka and Shimao's story has to end.
Based on the earlier chapters, I don't expect a happy ending for Rokka and Hazuki or for the late husband as well.

As of now there are very few chapters that are translated, so it's difficult for me to give it any sort of rating at the moment. I'll admit, though, that I have very high hopes for this series from what I've read so far. It has a very bittersweet atmosphere, and each character is unique and likable, so I'm excited to see how the story progresses.
An anime version began airing a couple of weeks ago, and I'm hoping that it'll lead to faster chapter releases. I'd much rather complete the manga before the anime, but I'm not sure how feasible that will be at this rate.
