Wonderful art, detail, ambience and setting!

My only complaint, is that because the art for the main characters is so detailed and well-done, some of the less detailed side characters look a little cookie-cutter generic and undetailed, in comparison.

I hope this one starts up again!

every chapter make me addicted..
the scene between Gisele and Eric always makes me emotionally, blushed and speak to my self "oh my God, what will happen next between Gisele and Eric?"

if you love the kind of story like lovely, warm, but also have emotional side.. try to read this one..
hope the author still bring this story more and more better again until final.. XD

this story, although a historical in 19 century France
is not about drama so, you can't compare it to Emma, maybe more similar to Shirley
were its about everyday activity of the lovely girl Gisele and her misadventures
while she makes the hearts of everyone around going doki-doki.
its not a story, than more about something that will made you forget your sadness and feel that fluffy feeling

A wonderfully refreshing and simplistic read. There haven't been too many chapters out but so far, so great! Something about this story has the ability to uplift and relax you as each chapter unfolds. The story itself does not sound like anything particularly captivating: basically just a young girl hungry for adventure doing miscellaneous tasks, yet the frenchy aristocratic atmosphere and peculiar characters make for something more than ordinary. And though most episodic stories usually don't do it for me, this one seems to have a faint backbone to follow and the perfect touch of subtle romance - as well as just being plain enjoyable.

Recommended for a slice-of-life/mellow read c:

I cried...A LOT

Okay, it may be weird but I seriously cried for three times. THREE. And I'm sure I'm still going to cry. It's so nice! The drawing, the plot, EVERYTHING! Amusing? yes. Interesting? double yes. Cry worthy? Oh heck! Absolutely yes! Historical, not quite. I kind of liked the historical victorian-ish concept of it. I want to be professional when I write comments but I just read this, and my emotions are overflowing so pardon me for such language. Anyway, I'll consider Gisele Alain a must read.

First of all it looks a lot like another manga in victorian historical setting: Emma. And has the same amount of detail, so if you're aware of it it's the best recommendation I can think of. It's more comedy than drama though.
As for manga itself it's pretty interesting and easy-going, nicely drawn too. Gisele obviously comes from rich family so she's pretty daring and sticks her nose everywhere, dragging Eric with her for company. Story itself is rather episodic. A very pleasant read overall.

First, at the below user, I advise you to take a look at work more along the lines of Sexy Voice and Robo. This style succeeds far better in the freedom the seinen demographic presents.

Anyway, this is good. It's sort of like something Mori Kaoru would come up with, a part of me wonders if one of her assistants is the lead here- it's the same serialization too. In any case, Witch of the Flower Forest was also great, so I'm not at all surprised.

One of the more promising new series of late.

"An amusing yet calm service providing you with anything you want; at your service by Gisèle Alain!" its not that i don't like plot, but being a seinen manga to me it sounds like trouble, unlike in Medeka Box with similar concept they would think about anything as literal Anything, but ere they might so im scared.
