Who is responsible for the rating graph?

No way in hell is this or the sequel the worst thing on the site so i must speak up as neater gorn, NTR, pedophilia, propaganda or glorified sexualized violence are present and this series isn´t hatefully ether. It is only really really dumb and highly embarrassing on top. I for one read it as i wanted to see Meyer´s laughable prose unfold in a timely fashion first hand and i did. The korean art is actually pretty nice and accent colors are used well.
That woman deserves a real career but the lettering is as a joke so that person needs to be fired. If you want to see what this phenomenon is about without reading 4000 pages of nonsense and the movie trailers scared you way (as they did me) then retrace my journey as i found my reading experience highly informative.
Interview with the Vampire: Claudia's Story (8,5/10) is a quality retelling of a good female targeted vampire saga i want to read more and the first 3 seasons (only) of True Blood are pretty fun too.
The entirely inappropriate Hellsing (9/10) and DC/Vertigo's American Vampire (8,5/10) are proper sequential genre fiction with a very different horror focus.

PS: Dear community. Please only rate series you have actually read. Thank you.

It's everywhere, and now on this wonderful website. Why? This adaptation is even worse and even more plotless than the actual book. And why is it on this manga site? It isn't worthy. Oh well, I guess we'll be getting Fifty Shades of Grey manga next. At least the sex will keep me entertained...

Not for me

I read the 1st volume in Barnes&Noble, thinking, "Hey, I might like it and might try to read the novel." It was good, but up to the part where Edward started glittering. I laughed out loud, put that book back in the shelf, and went on my merry way home.

Sorry, but this manga isn't for me. The artwork is beautiful, but it pains me that it hooked with some poor-written story. It's poor in a sense that the story was oozing out "Here's this pretty boy and I'm going to love him until he becomes un-emo." Sorry, doesn't sound like a good storyplot for me. And I do not have the patience to continue reading further just to wait for some good story to pop-out. If it doesn't grab my attention in the beginning, most likely I'll just drop it.

Well, you can read and judge it for yourself.

i've read the books...watched the movies...aaand read the manga and i still don't like twilight... it has no morals... it's about a manly girl, a sparcaly vampire, a hot were wolf... the whole moral of the story is how inportant it is to have a boyfriend... i can honestly day it wasn't worth my time

Ignore the bad ratings....

Ignore the bad ratings. In case you are unaware, the majority if not all of those negative ratings come from people who haven't even taken a look at the story, much less read it. They gave it negative ratings because they wanted to join the "Hate on Twilight" bandwagon, not because they have valid reasons for their rating.

I can agree with the dude below tho, u generally don't rate down a series without trying it.... then again I don't really care if a manga about tinkerbell disguised as a vampire is rated well... so overall I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad this has been rated.... u know what.... keep going..... remembering the pain of being dragged to see this retardation in theatre by my gf has made up my mind SPAMMING 1 FTW!!!!!

The Rating, the Irony
by Seijurou

There are more 1-voters than the people who have added the manga to their reading and completed lists combined. This should give you an idea of how 'objective' the people here are; so ironic. At least we know Baka-Updates is not bombarded with Twilight fans, but quite the opposite instead (i.e., haters). The situation here is another proof that only those who add a title to their list should be allowed to rate it, like on MyAnimeList.

However, I do not give a shit about this manga. What annoys me are idiots spamming manga with loli (or 'pseudo-loli') content just because they 'touch their sensibilities.' You fags need to spout your crap at a church or something.

Anyways, because of such fools, I have stopped looking at the ratings of series a long time ago. Read the description and genres, then decide whether to give something a shot yourself. It comes down to that.

Pretty art, but the writing is still bad.

Disclaimer: I didn't like the novels.

The art is really pretty, although most of the faces look the same, and in the meadow scene, Edward looks kind of like a zombie had a baby with a disco ball. Which isn't too far off the mark, I guess.

The writing is the same as it was in the novels. Not to my taste, but if you liked them, you'll like this.

The typeface and the placement of the speech/thought bubbles is really awkward. Like... covering up parts of people's faces for no reason awkward.

It gets a 3 because the art is good.

Don't be fooled by the low rating, this is actually an beautiful graphic novel adaptation, Kim did an more better job then Catherine Hardwick + Melissa Rosenberg could even dream to. the art is Gorgeous and the meadow scene was crafted beautifully, It goes up to
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
When he drives her home, so heads for Volume 2, When he spends the night and is so playful, i love that part.
If you're an fan of at least the first Twilight book you'll love this.
